I am on the second brand new engine in my 2018 RWD GT2. It is burning oil and intermittently has white smoke coming from exhaust. After the first replacement the same thing happened again. Each team time they have me bring it back every 1K miles for a consumption test. Losing about 1 quart every 500-1000 miles. With the white smoke I thought it was the head gasket but they said it is not. They may have to replace the engine again. Any ideas? Could it be the turbos? I’m at my wits end. I’m grateful for any advice.

How did you break in the new engines? Did you follow the procedure for a new engine?

I think you may want to have compression and leak down tests done.

I haven’t hit 4rpm. Nor have I punched it hard enough for boost. They said they did the compression test and it was normal. I thought maybe the tubos might be the problem as they are the originals. I love it, but I may have to trade it if I can’t get this fixed.

White smoke = water/coolant
Blue smoke = oil
Black smoke = A-hole rolling coal

Is it smoke with a smell acrid like? Or is it more of a vapor with a sweet smell?

The other thing to check for; is the oil on the dipstick milky and/or are there air bubbles, which would indicative of oil/water in the oil(ie: coolant leak).

Other end of town. I guess I won't see it on the road anytime soon.
So far since I got my car at the end of July, I've only seen one other Stinger in the wild.
When I'm out on the road or in a parking lot though, I gets a lot of looks.

Yeah, they seem to be pretty rare. In the time I’ve had mine, I’ve seen two to three others Out here.

Let me know if you need a shop recommendation (other than a dealer). I can recommend the shop I’ve been going to for the last 21 years.
