Has anyone else installed these? My car left the shop the other day and it sounds like a honda civic rice rocket! It seems to be wrattling and making this weird noise. Shop already checked everything. There telling me i need mid mufflers. Can anyone please help much appreciated!

What midpipe and downpipe are you using? Are they catted / resonated or free flow?

I del the resonators and installed the universal valvetronic system. Then added the downpipe and midpipe from HFC. If you go on the k8stingerstore and look under exhaust youll see the combo i bought. They go for 1600 bucks. I would post the link but they wont let me cause im new on here. I called up hfc performance out in new mexico and told me that maybe with some mid resonators itll fix the problem. But i also thought resonators are for drone. And what im experiencing is not drone. The annoying noise is coming from the back of the car. The shop took everything apart and put it back together. They couldn't pin point where the noise is coming from. At first they thought it was the heat shield. But it wasnt they thought maybe something was loose and nope. I dont know what to do anymore. Came on this site Hoping someone has an answer for issue im having.

I bet you're experiencing really bad rasp which would sound like a cheap honda with a straight pipe. Best way to fix rasp is with resonators.

Hahahaha bro it sounds so horrible im literally embarrassed hahaha. I have to close my valves in order for it to sound good. But once i open the valves and put it in sport mode. Plug up your ears hahahahahaa literally. So you think some mid resonators will do the trick. Cause like i said earlier. I del both of them.

This is a big reason why it's always better to get a catback versus a sort of frankenstein exhaust setup like you have. You're not the first member to add the HFC combo and complain about terrible rasp. Some guys have gotten rid of the HFC pipes just because of that. As for a resonator fixing the issue, it will definitely help but hard to say how much, it will still be a gamble on how much depending on what kind of resonator you add.

In my case which one would you recommend for a resonator? My question is why do people have this issue though? I've seen so many vids online with people installing these with no complaints.

I don't have a specific recommendation other than to go to a trusted local exhaust shop and see what they can fit on there. I know vibrant makes good resonators but Im sure plenty of other brands do too.

Well the shop where i took my car too told me that i needed OEM resonators and that was a maybe that the noise would go away. On the k8stingerstore website they have these

MBRP Pro Series Resonator Set you think i should go with those?
