After spending hours going through pages and pages on the forum I finally pulled the trigger on a broken in 2019 GT AWD. Lots of good info here, thank you! I plan to have a few bucks left over for some go fast goodies. Wife approves since it has 4 doors. Anyone put car seats in the back?

Welcome. Looks like it will be interesting build. How much did you pay for it?

Thanks! 9300 including fees and tax. 42k miles. Dealer says it hasn't been marked to void the warranty but sometimes it happens later.

How bad is it on other side? Looks like that's where the main damage is. Are you fixing it yourself or have someone doing it?

You are correct the other side has damage as well. Ironically enough only the passenger roof bag and seat went off. I work on these myself on the side and do a couple a year. Prices are all over the place. I think I did okay.

wow, almost a dead ringer for a totaled stinger, visually in the lf quarter. and then you have the right side damage. So...this happened yesterday (7/10/23).

are you going to be our next @General_Vodka ? He rebuilt a heavily damaged stinger from this
stinger general vodka.webp
to this
stinger general vodka3.webp
And then two years later this deer thing happened resulting in a dance with a tree
stinger general vodka5 deer.webp
I still think it's one of the saddest sagas on the forum. may your project be as successful as the general's, and may you enjoy many happy years and miles. amen.

Wow that's a crazy! Hopefully I have better luck. Thankfully this one isn't too bad. I plan to take it to a local road course and didnt want anything too nice in case I have a boo boo but man hopefully nothing like that!

Definitely feel like it will be easy to spend money on one of these
Sorry didnt read the whole thing.
I use seat protectors and both rears have permanent car seats as we have 2 boys.

Good luck with repairs and welcome to the hive

10 k to make it perfect again (just a guess)
And your still 10k under dealer prices so its a good buy in my opinion.

Kia put mounts on the back of the back seats and it has anchor points for the car seats built in belt but no rear facing anchor point so i just use the seatbelt from the car as well at the carseat itself and use the front seat to make it a bit more solid.

Thanks for the info. I'm used to using a seat belt for rear facing so that works. Yeah, I've been tearing into it this weekend. Upside no suspension damage. Downside, the front left frame horn is tweaked a little bit but I have a good frame guy. Snow White Pearl was an option so I can see finding those parts is a little difficult.
