JB4 map 5 on E30.

Where do I go from here to make more power?
What kind of performance gains are left for how much more $?

Is there any more performance to be had by running a custom JB4 map 6 setup over map 5?

Looking at EK1 + BMS BEF + CPI Kit next, but it's not a great return for the money. It'd cost about $1500 and provide about 40whp or so, right?

Switching to a straight ECU tune (Lap3) would be way more money and not much more performance return.

Thoughts?

Thx

Lozic ECU and TCU tunes are worth it. Downpipes are a must for both performance and a way better sounding exhaust, in my opinion.
Lozic told me that he has a tune you can run what is basically 91 on Sport (I assume 93 would be an option) on the comfort setting, and an ethanol mix on the Sport setting, if that makes sense. I am waiting for the upgraded HPFP before I get into the higher E mixes. Lozic stated that after the new HPFP the injectors become the limitation, so CPI may be necessary for full E85 without programming a boost curve.
I know this is a lot of info, but being able to run higher E mixtures should produce quite a bit of power, to a point.

Do you have any tangible hp/tq differences between where I'm at vs an ECU/TCU tune with lozic?

My guess is they are not that much until you add wmi/cpi/hpfp to the mix and even then how much difference is there...?

My best 1/4 mile time (11.7) is with a BMS BEF, custom map 6 (push more boost at higher RPM's) using E30 and WMI.

What kind of bolt-ons are you running? I see you have the intake listed. If you want to push max power I would suggest the Ultimate Performance Downpipe + Midpipe kit: (FOUND HERE). You could finish the pipes off with an exhaust; our exhaust collection is: (FOUND HERE), and then get an aftermarket intercooler; our intercooler collection is: (FOUND HERE). The Wagner Tuning Competition Intercooler: (FOUND HERE) is going to be one of the largest ones on the market. You can get these all from K8StingerStore.com and if you send me a PM, I can help you with a discount.

Next step from here is probably bef/ecu tune.

Also something that hasn't been mentioned is a TCU tune. They obviously don't add hp directly but definitely change the feel of the car

I haven't dyno'd it.
Well then I'm not quite sure where you're at, brother ;)
That said, a tune with some downpipes incorporated into it will make a notable difference.
A TCU tune is also well worth it, as I had mentioned. Lap3 is legit but overpriced. Lozic is very good and still not too bad on price even though he has increased prices, Lozics also has a plethora of options with his TCU tune. A TCU tune won't increase power, per se, but it will improve acceleration.
Don't get me wrong, the JB4 is a great piece of hardware, but it does have it's limitations, but an ECU tune can do things that the JB4 alone cannot.
