Absolutely love my new Stinger! Can't stop driving it. It's definitely a looker!! But....there has been an issue with the hood paint protection film bubbling in the corner. Dealer replacing it with no issues next week after the snowstorm on Long Island....grrrr. Afraid now that rest of car could have same problem. Anyone else experience this same issue?

I don't have the dealer installed film, but I would think any film like this is entirely dependent on the installation.

Mine was factory installed. Dealer assures me they have a person who does great work installing the film. They said my car was the first one with this issue.

Uh, "factory installed?" Never saw that on any spec sheet. I'm betting it was the dealer or an agent of the dealer.

I would say it came with the car as a packaged. I agree it is to do with the install unless you have taken it to a wand wash(pressure washer) and some how managed to get under the film as that is what causes the bubbles like that.

You all are aware that just because an option is listed on the Morony or window sticker and looks like a factory add-on does not mean it's factory. Dealers can print those window stickers and add whatever they want to make it look like factory.

In this case @mldavis2 it can be a factory installed option, mine has it and I saw my car coming off the truck when it arrived at the dealer. It is included on the paint protection package (check the website builder).

I had expel ppf installed by a local detailer on mine 5 days ago. I had bubbling appear in several spots. Took it back into him yesterday and he cleared them all out in few minutes. Hopefully the bubbles don't return but if they do I know he'll clear it up. Snowy and nasty today so idk how well the wrap is curing...

Thanks, @robz32. I obviously missed that. I never use anything but gentle hand washing and frequent waxing. My 13 year-old GTO looks like new.

I would be hesitant about dealer installed films. I'm having Xpel done by a professional installer in a climate controlled environment. He also insists on having the car for 4-5 days to allow the film to dry and insure no bubbles. I don't think dealers have the skill, time and dedication for that type of project. My recommendation... stick with a dedicated installer.

Does the factory installed option covers the front bumper?
