I have the EK1Lite and I really want to get a TCU tune for my car and I am just wondering if anyone has installed the TCU tune from the EK1 and how it affects it as it being a daily. Is it only aggresive shifting in sport mode or all the time? Thank you in advance

Daily drivability in sport mode is amazing. Noticeable quicker upshift and way smoother downshift than my current lozic tune. And it holds gear/rpm perfectly under brake, not aggressive, not jerky and leave the power band rpm perfectly right there for next throttle input. 60-130 is obviously faster than my lozic pressure 2 -10%.

Can’t answer the launch control that much cuz I did follow the R&D that closely for TCU. Currently I had 2 TCU LC stage 2 and 1 ECU LC stage1. They are both bugged but remember they’re all from half a year ago so I’m sure all the bugs are fixed. There will be a big AWD/TC/LC related update coming soon so no need to purchase current version TCU tune. I just asked Nathan for the progress and if he gives me any updates I’ll let you know.

Sport is the only drive mode your car should be in after getting tuned anyway. Comfort/ECO is basically low speed pre ignition nightmare that you would like to avoid no matter what.

Quick update for my TCU. I installed the brake snip harness and flashed my non LC TCU. It’s launch crazily quick and somehow even have better traction than tcu launch when the 0-60 numbers are close. However I do notice brake snip launch is quicker than TCU. A slow 1.84 60ft can give me 3.74s for 0-60, which is never possible with TCU launch at 1.8x 60ft(need 1.74s for sure)

All tests are done side by side with same ECU tune. I think I can jump in conclusions that brake snip is a must no matter what TCU you’re going for.

The only downside for the brake snip for me is I’m Rwd. I already spin with the factory lc

How is your first gear boost curve looks like? Nathan is able to provide you a boost curve without peak on the first gear. Boost creeps along with rpm. It’s super grippy.

Any news on that TCU tune update?

I was on his non LC ver of TCU + brake snip now. TCU launch is never as consistant as brake snip launch anyway so you might want to save that $50 on snip harness.

i ended up buying the TCU tune on his website about a week ago. I can say it is noticeably faster and last night i went to mexico and ran a intake exhaust and tune 5.0 and left buses on him. I then ran a zl1 from a dig i spun quite a bit but we were holding hands all the way up to 130
