i recently installed the water meth kit to the BMS computer the other weekend and is been going good last few days then today after driving to the cafe it started to pump after it boosted and kept pumping on screen could see it going from 80 to 100% on its own even though i was not going fast anymore...moving up and down on the dial, i had to pull over and stop immediately and disconnect it as fast as i can so it didnt pump any more in and hydro lock the bloody engine, it started running rough..and thought it was stuffed, but it did keep going and i i think it just passed the water, meth out and or evaporated...now is disconnected till i make a kill switch on the red wire to the pump as i dont trust it anymore on its own...Do you know what happned? Thought the FSB would prevent that from happening...even though i changed maps to 0 it kept going...now kill switch right by drivers seat...really thought i hydroed the engine ‍ is a faulty FSB maybe? Does it have a reset of some kind or just need s new one from burgersports? Has kill switch now...noticed it just goes straight to 100% even at start of boost...no variation of flow now, but does stop now...but still no trust in it.

More than likely it was a faulty reading on the app. Did you notice or hear the pump while it was bouncing from 80-100? Two things need to happen, the pump has to kick on, AND the solenoid has to open. With the safeties BMS has in place, it's probably OK. Regardless of a kill switch or not, meth does not ramp up, it's either 0%, or 100%, you can't throttle it. I ran meth for years and every now and again the gauge on the app would sort of stick even though it wasn't running. It's a common programming anomaly when you use what they call a "floating 0v output". Double check your ground, it's the most important connection in the whole FSB wiring. Ensure there is no paint and it has a good metal to metal connection.

Sounds like you had
1. Air in the line
2. a bad ground.

I had the same thing happen and I realized my ground connection was not good.

Okay man...check all grounds...no it was real...actually flooded engine a little bit...when I should've just turned engine off straight away...it's fine now (engine) and now has fail safe kill switch by fuse compartment...yeah I guess that's all could be or faulty FSB

Yeah man I'll check that...was all good few days ago when first installed. Even switched to map 0 and was still going I was stuck in traffic too so when I turned around the car conked out. Had to go around the block for 20 minutes till it stopped sputtering all good and kill switch in now I'll check grounds of FSB, note the ground of pump is actually direct on Negative post so that's all good there.

Sounds like it could be a faulty FSB then. I haven't heard of that happening yet but there's a first time for everything. I'd reach out to BMS and see what their thoughts are.

Yeah I checked the grounds...all good there...I found meth evaporates from nozzle abit because it closer to engine between nozzle, and solenoid...gotta do a good logvfor Ando to see what's up...still does it..try purge it again.

yeah man I did the earth to FSB and purged line from nozzle and quickly retighten and went for test drive....but still again it stays on 90-100% ...so I kill switched again so it doesn't stay on when throttle closed...trying to make a good log for Ando to check....but I think it is FSB...can even see it on the log does not turn off @ 0 boost.

Yes infact it is a faulty batch of FSB's see from Email...terry sending a new one hope it's okay and back to boosting again lol.

exactly the same
Okay felt like I was a lone ranger on this issues lol...just wanted it sorted because spent much to get WMI...I even make my own meth/water mix...call it Kaiju blu lol ...good when you have a local chemical yard not far from home

After 2.5 years of owning a Stinger I made an account here only to tell you I experienced the exact same issue you have, twice in a row, and it’s the FSB.
I’m currently waiting on my 2nd replacement, 3rd overall, in hopes that the newest batch will not have this issue. I went through every possibility with Terry himself from the grounds to the wiring, nozzle spray pattern, checking to see if the pump was running continuously or was trying to shut off.

My best advice is to either bear with the provess and wait for a functional replacement, or ask for a full refund.

Spent allot to get this so I do want it to work as it spoked to...it has a kill switch now if ever future malfunctions but terry is waiting on a new batch and then send to me....just want it to work!!

You and I are in a very similar boat it seems. I’m hoping the new batch gets it sorted out
Yeah man....don't wanna get refund just it going cos I had JB4 for while now and don't want to have to get that other brand water/meth kit. Guess no quality control in China
