Anyone running the tork oval midpipe ?

Yeah just repeating what John said::

I don’t even doubt that this mid pipe can somehow acting as a resonators to kill some 2000-2200 rpm drone. The oval chamber is long enough to act as a big ass resonator for that frequency range.

True I'd like to hear some some owners of the oval mid..

"Drone" is a silly word. All I can say is it's louder than OEM by quite a bit. Insulated the hatch floor and most of the area under the back seat. I notice it every time I start it. Thought I'd get some kind of axle-back but haven't. Still interested in the tips that cover the space from the end of the exhaust to the openings on the back valence. That would prove whether it's just a louder exhaust or whether it is create the noise itself.

i did the extra tips from oreillys on my Thermal exhaust to cut the sound in cabin. they are just slipped on

And how did it turn out?

Thanks! O'Reilly Auto Parts had the right parts on the shelf?

those exhaust extensions yes. they aren’t stainless but they work. measure the OD of the pipes and go from there

Thanks.

Has anyone with catless primary and secondaries tried this ? Or someone with the HFC downpipe combo ? I'm considering this seriously if it can get rid of that damn from from 2-3.5 k rpm.

A friend did... he had it on for a week after it took months to get here !

He had custom everything.

I was curious about this too until I met a guy who works for BMS. He is like on the same block as bms headquarters so I am lucky as hell to live close by! He is an excellent fabricator and does some excellent exhaust work.

I am about to get a custom 2.5 inch catless secondaries done into a 3 inch merged mid pipe to the mbrp pro active mufflers to retain the valves. The guy that's doing the work builds exhausts for stingers that sound a lot like a GTR but he builds them in house so you have to be local or ship out your car to him.

Here is the video of how it will probably sound like but most likely deeper with the mbrp mufflers (This car has catless primaries):

Right now I am running stock primaries, ark dp, mbrp pro active. Deep and very loud. His setup mated to the mbrp mufflers should create a unique deeper, bit less raspier sound. Also probably less drone from what he said. It will definitely improve the flow so it likely will get bit louder too if not bit more refined at least. Not sure if I am going to put on any resonators as I am keeping the stock primaries anyway. I tried the mbrp resonators and hated them. Made it way too quiet. It's when you change out the primaries when you might want to put some resonator on. But screw that I want it loud af! I will post pictures and videos next month most likely.

If you want to get an idea of how my current setup sounds:

I am not too sure but he seems to have figured out a good formula on how to get the best sound so I will ask him that question.
