Can someone with experience please explain the pros vs cons? Im presently running the JB4 and I have access to E85, so I can run MAP3, but I can't help but wonder if I'm leaving HP/performance on the table that I might be able to enjoy with Lozic's tune...for transparency, I don't have Draggy, nor have I dyno'd the 2.5T, but im a bit skeptical of JB4s published output on MAP3. My butt dyno says "maybe 40hp"- which I feel is fantastic with such a low price for entry- NO REGRETS! BUT... is there another level of fun I'm missing out on??
TIA

With the 2.5t I doubt you're leaving much on the table. But the JB4 is compatible with the factory or any flash map you want to add. With the 3.3t we have our own back end flash maps to crank things up!

Nobody out there with the Lozic 2.5T tune??

Someone must have this setup and can give a first hand opinion....

I would be surprised if anyone had a Lozic tune on their 2.5T Stinger. It might be worth checking to see if any Genesis, K5 GT or Sonata N-Line owners have had a Lozic tune applied to their car as they use the same 2.5T engine.

Going forward I would assume any aftermarket support that comes up will be strongly biased towards those car owners as they probably sell quite a bit more 2.5T engines in those cars.

How much you're leaving, idk. But you're leaving power on the table and the power delivery will not be as good as an ECU tune. Piggybacks can be a good option for some, but they are limited in what they can do and how they do it.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

I can't believe noone has yet done a Lozic tune on the 2.5T...I guess we dont even know if Lozic has done the work and developed one...?

I suspect others with the 2.5t, like myself, went with a JB4 for the ease and low cost of getting a little more power with the peace of mind of preserving reliability and ability to quickly revert to stock if necessary. That changes a bit when going to a full tune. If I wanted more power beyond what I get from the JB4, I'd actually consider buying a 3.3 and modding that platform for an easier and more proven method of going faster in a Stinger. So if others are of similar mindset, it would explain why few, if any, have gone for a full tune on a 2.5t.

I sent Lozic a message asking him if he has developed a tune for the 2.5T…I completely agree with you regarding the above, I like the JB4 very much for what it is. Still, I’m interested in exploring other avenues, as well, that may be available to us and the potential rewards.
