Can I run Map5 on just Shell 93 octane and Boostane? Is Boostane bad for daily driving?

I just got my JB4 w/ HKS spark plugs gapped at 0.022, and Injen Intakes installed. I run Shell 93 octane V-Power Nitro+ only and MAP2 daily. Damn this car is fast. I just got bored and ended up buying a 6 pack of 32 oz Boostane Professional. I downloaded the Boostane app, and saw on older threads Map 3 can be safely ran on 96 octane, which according to the Boostane app, is 2.88oz per 16 gallon fill up. To be on the safe side I would run Map 3 on 97 which is 4.16oz. That being said, that’s about 46 fillups, so I’m loaded with boosters or can run higher octane. Where I’m at though, there is no E85 option. I want to try Map 5 for some time, is there a safe octane level to run Map 5 with Shell 93 and a shit ton of Boostane? I can get to 100 octane with 14.72oz which is less than half of one can, or 102 octane with less than a full can.

Also, I am a daily driver. Mostly use my car to drive to work and back and have decent open road stretches to have a little fun. I run Map 2 daily on Shell 93 and have had zero issues so far. Should I always run Boostane if I want Map3 as my daily? Can I put Boostane in every fillup even if I want to still run MAP2 daily? I read in earlier threads MMT is bad and can mess up the spark plugs at a shorter than expected time? Should I only use Boostane when I’m going to the strip?

Let’s see some logs. I would avoid using octane boosters. Will coat your plugs, O2 sensor, Cats, etc in orange.

This may sound pretty dumb, but what do you mean by “see some logs”? Should I start logging as soon as I start the car, or should I start logging only when doing pulls? I’m unsure of when to start logging and when to stop logging.

Set autolog to >85% throttle. Log only the one pulls you make. Start on 3rg gear about 2.5k rpm and go wot then shift around 5.5k then 4th gear and end log.

Anyone else care to chime in on their experiences with Boostane as a daily driver? I get it, orange and buildup and O2 sensors, but if I want to add 3-4oz Boostane Professional to get ~ 97 octane for MAP3, is it that bad or is everyone just guessing how bad it is at 4oz per 16 gallon fillup? I sure as hell don’t know a thing about it which is why I come to you guys. Should’ve probably gone with the single shot as Boostane says that’s for daily drivers.

My car has 8K miles, drove it from 0 to now before even installing the JB4, plugs, and intakes. I obviously want longevity but want to run Map3 daily and switch to Map5 whenever it’s time.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
If you have access to E85, your best bet is to put 3.5 gallons or so in a tank about 3/4 full of pump gas, then run map 4.
If you want to monitor your E mix, get the Fuel-it flex fuel kit and keep your fuel around E30. You can run map 4 and probably even 5 all day long.

He just wants to run octane booster to dd.

I get that, but I think that mixing some E85 is cheaper and a better alternative than octane booster all the time because of the side-effects.

Hey,

I have 80000 km on the clock and cant really remember when I started adding boostane I'd say 3 years now since getting the jb4. I use shell 93 in Canada 100% never seen anything else, I keep a beer bottle handly in the summer months with a couple of lines on it (min and max) and run map 2 daily with boostane. I don't bother in winter as I don't really push and car as I do with summer tires on ;) what's a bit of orange and plug wear when the car is transformed! Get a catch can..

I'm on my 2nd set of new sparks went with HKS last time due to issues with denso after awhile. They are holding up well. Daily map 1 if worried but i just leave in map 2 in the winter without boostane, bit great but logs are key if you have read them for timing retardation.

I'd had the car for 5 years and enjoy the jb4 customization plus a few other addons in combination (throttle, ecs, swaybars, exhaust) the car really has split personality and perfect for roads and weather around my area.

PS. Does the stinger have exhaust smoke on full attack? alla gtr or rx7 I might do but could be just road dust lol
