Recently I just got my car back from a fender bender and had to replace the whole bumper, intercooler, and safety drop bar. Shop managed to put the charge pipe clamps on but not tighten them and ripped off the bolt on the charge pipe clamp. So the charge pipe was loose. Took it out to my shop and they were able to tighten all clamps back down. The tech suggested I look into T bolt clamps especially since I’m tuned and not pushing regular boost but more.

First question is does anyone know where to get some of these t bolt clamps and what are the advantages of these over the standard clamps ? The tech stated the t bolts clamps would allow to tighten the charge pipe better since I’m running more boost. Any more advantages . Longevity…. Durability ?

Second question is would a new charge pipe like the Afe one be of consideration in tandem with the new t bolt clamps?

Anyone else experience this charge pipe clamp loosening?

Thanks in advance.

Cheap clamps don't clamp well. High quality clamps tend to clamp better. There's how strong they can clamp (cheap worm drives will come apart/strip/slip before getting particularly tight) and how evenly the clamping is spread around the tube (cheap worm clamps tend to squeeze in an oval shape).
t-bolt are one style - they use a T shaped bolt instead of a worm bolt. There's several different types, just search for turbo hose clamps. I used the "Turbosmart" brand.
Not strictly necessary, but can be useful especially if you keep blowing off hoses.

Charge pipe is totally up to you. Unlikely to actually have any noticeable performance impact.

What size t bolt clamps would I need ? And do you have a link for the specific ones you have ? Thanks

I'm running upwards of 21-22lbs boost, and don't have a problem with the stock clamps.
