Hi all! I have a 2018 GT2 and I love it. My ex put a race chip in it for me which made it even more fun- until I scared myself enough :). I haven't been running it for the past year or so. Took the Stinger in last winter because in cold temps I was noticing the heater blowing cold air while at stop lights and occasionally while driving. They flushed the coolant and said it was from air bubbles in the system. seemed to do the trick. they confirmed it had nothing to do with my race chip. Same thing this year... now they want me to pay to remove the motor to replace the housing and are claiming the race chip is to blame. Any thoughts or suggestions on this topic? anyone else have this issue? thanks for your input!

It's never a good idea to bring the car in with any tune. You might loose the warranty. What housing do they want to replace??

Go to a different dealer, they're coming us with absolute BS blaming a piggyback for killing your blower motor.

This is the exact scenario why I laugh when "experts" so "no problems about warranty, you're protected by the magnuson moss warranty act". The dealer comes up with BS, blames you and then it becomes your problem to disprove their claim.

Good luck either way.

Agreed. now I know... however, the only reason I did this time is because they "fixed" this same problem last winter and said the chip had nothing to do with it. I will find out more this morning after I speak to a technician. yesterday the sales person said the thermostat housing

I'm picking it up this morning. I appreciate your support :) I also called the man who installed the chip and he said there is no way the chip is involved. fingers crossed!

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

If they want to pull the engine out, to replace the thermostat housing.....run!! But before, get it in writing from them. Not sure how the tune can cause thermostat going bad. It does look like they are trying to pull a fast one on you.
