Sounds like the same as when I had shit fuel. When did you last fill up.So again the bogging out under heavy throttle showed up today.. plugs were just pulled and checked, running 93 plus boost and. Car drove fine all day yesterday, now it sporadically does it today. Wtf..it seems to be in the lower end of the power band, so when I push it hard it only does it at first then goes away, sounds like a backfire and I can feel the chugging. On my logs hpfp looks fine, timing seems fine. I don't k ow what else I could look for
Just filled up. BP 93 with a bottle of boostane. I was thinking fuel maybe last time it did this, wondering if that BP is really 93.. other option here is 91 pure with no ethanol.. or E30. I don't get it. Or a weak coil pack somewhere in there. If it was a weak fuel pump yours think I'd see it in the logsSounds like the same as when I had shit fuel. When did you last fill up.
This wouldn't be caused by a exhaust leak could it.... I know I have some water that drips out of my clamps on my MBRP. But I highly doubt thatTry topping up with a few gallons of E and resetting the ECU by disconnecting the battery for a couple minutes. I agree you might be looking at a coil pack going haywire. Keep us posted pls.
I wouldn't think so. All BOV's essentially blow off to air, just the stock setup releases it back into the intake filter box which muffles the sound. Here's a question, does anyone think that my addw1 blow off valves could be causing this since they vent to air? Anyone had that issue??
I thought I saw somewhere that venting to air could mess with the maf or something or air to fuel mixtureI wouldn't think so. All BOV's essentially blow off to air, just the stock setup releases it back into the intake filter box which muffles the sound.
I have BMS intakes, and you remove the top cover of the filter boxes (just like any other CAI) so the stock BOV basically vents to air, and I have no problems.
Kia’s don’t use a MAF, they use a MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor system which is completely different.I thought I saw somewhere that venting to air could mess with the maf or something or air to fuel mixture
I literally just saw that researching, I got a date with the dealership on Friday. I can't figure this one out. It only happens at initial mashing of the throttleKia’s don’t use a MAF, they use a MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor system which is completely different.
Some people have had issues with bad coils. Unfortunately, it seems once it starts, all 6 packs needed to be replaced along with the plugs.I literally just saw that researching, I got a date with the dealership on Friday. Ya that's kind of what I'm thinking/ hoping for... Plugs are brand new gapped to .22Some people have had issues with bad coils. Unfortunately, it seems once it starts, all 6 packs needed to be replaced along with the plugs.
Surely you mean .022, .22 would be way off.Ya that's kind of what I'm thinking/ hoping for... Plugs are brand new gapped to .22
Did you ever figure this out? I just installed the addw1 bov’s and it doing the exact same thing under full throttle. It just releases air pressure after I’ve gone to about 5th gear and 5500 rpm’s. I’ve never experienced this prior to adding the addw1 bov’s. I’m going to tighten the preload on the springs and see if that eliminates this problem later on tonight. Here's a question, does anyone think that my addw1 blow off valves could be causing this since they vent to air? What ADDW1 told me a while back was to find a lone stretch of road and adjust after each pull to where it may need to be.Did you ever figure this out? My problem ended up being 2 bad coil packsDid you ever figure this out? I just installed the addw1 bov’s and it doing the exact same thing under full throttle. So my issue was bogging down under full throttle at about 80mph but I am immediately able to go full throttle right after. Was that what you were experiencing? My problem ended up being 2 bad coil packs
