Hello everyone!

G’day & welcome to the Stinger Owners fraternity, as for upgrades that can be dependent on wants/requirements & also budget.
If handling is your thing then the best mod you can start with is to upgrade the Swaybars, this lifts the handling of the car to another level, you have a choice of Eibach, Whiteline or SuperPro just to name a few.

I purchased a new '23 stinger gt line and have been wanting to make some upgrades but not sure what I should start with or what parts but also wanted to join other people who love their stingers!
Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. Congratulations on your brand new Stinger! What did the Stinger replace for you? I’m glad you found us. :) As for mods and upgrades, check out the forum store - KDM Warehouse - for all sorts of ideas.

Welcome! You'll get the mod itch pretty quick.

Intake or sway bars or oil catch can seem to be the most popular start here.

Congrats and welcome to the group! Where are you from?

Lots of things you can buy. The more you read and join the facebook groups the easier it will get to find what to get, but the harder to resist! Haha

I picked up a 22 gt2 scorpion around may. Since then ive been stalking the classifieds and just looking for stuff people are selling. Trying to save a little. So far i picked up the injen intakes (for a steal $200); carbon fiber hear shields for them; the lit snorkels brand new from someone who never used them (another steal); a racechip (only because it was a steal. Gts brand new $100); but now also picked up a used jb4 and the. Just recently some new hks plugs for to go with the jb4. Looking for the fuel wire adaptors now.

Also keeping an eye out for an oil catch can. Still reading and learning about them and which one to go with.

Id like to do springs and exhaust bit the exhaust is expensive!! Also want to get ck71 lights for the front and the ambient vent lights as well as illuminated door sill plates.

Soooo many things so just have fun and enjoy!

Welcome aboard. Ya you might find the odd person here that loves their Stinger. Have fun with the mods, lots of help here for that too. Cheers

Howdy and welcome. Eibach sway bars are the only mod I have (other than aftermarket, lighter, wheels).

Thanks I’ll definitely look into the swaybars, I know it would help I just don’t want to void any warranties that came with the car since I bought it new. I’m also not entirely sure where I could take it to get that done. This is the first time I’ve purchased a performance type vehicle and have wanted to try to upgrade things on it. I’ll do some more research before I purchase anything i appreciate the advice!

I’ve been seeing a lot of recommendations for the oil catch can because of the direct injection engine do you recommend any?

I’m from Ohio, how about yourself?

Yeah I was originally looking at the k5 but there weren’t anywhere near me but got lucky when the Kia dealership traded for another car to get a stinger. Haha yeah I’ve already got the itch as soon as I started seeing more and more mods from other stinger owners online.
Wow a bunch of steals, I’ll have to keep my eyes out for any. I think I’ll definitely start with swaybars, oil catch can and cold air intake. Do you think the last 2 would be worth it on the 2.5 4cylinder? Sorry if I ask a lot of questions I’ve never upgraded a car before but very interested.
Thanks!

What tires came on yours? Mine came with some crappy bridgeston re97as-02's. Getting decent rubber was the first mod. The car actually does pretty well in moderate corners with the stock bars. Enough that while I wouldn't mind stiffer sways, the cost is hard to justify.

I’ve had Eibach Swaybars fitted since 2018 without any issues, in fact my dealership fitted them for me, fitting these would be to least of your worry with warranty.
Any reputable Suspension Shop should be able to fit these for you & just so you know it takes a max. 2 hours to do front & back.

Howdy, what ^^^ @Stinger GT SS said: the dealership fitted mine, and the front bar went in c. half an hour, the rear bar took c. an hour. Kia offers the Eibach sway bars as an option. They make the handling feel rock solid (stock sways are a bit floaty and step out in the rear under G force, but in no way compromise actual handling per se, i.e., stock sways are safe performance items, it's just that common, average drivers are able to push harder with the more buttoned down feel of the aftermarket sways: you'll see :D).

^^Gtline is also a few hundred lb lighter than gt.... No?

Yeah I’m pretty sure I have the same tires, and yeah the gt line is a little lighter than the gt2

Hey vintxage,

Welcome to the Forum and congrats on your new Stinger!

We have tons of parts available for your 2023 Kia Stinger GT-Line.

I would highly suggest starting with an Oil Catch Can or Trunk Spoiler.

I went with the Add W1 OCC and Adro V1 Trunk Spoiler for my 2019 Stinger.

Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need a discount on your order!

Enjoy the new ride,
Daniel @ the K8 Stinger Store
