Windshield replacement issues

On Sunday Aug 7th a seagull dropped a clam on my windshield causing 2 circular cracks, on Monday the 8th I called glass company and placed an order to get it replaced 7+ weeks later still no windshield available in the country, had the same problem with our Sportage.

the dealer just replaced my windshield 2 days ago ... had a small crack at the base, and they volunteered to replace it and the failed front inside door handles when i bought the car. i had been waiting for the parts to come in.

i bought the car July 28th

That's incredibly unlucky. However, I'd be glad that clam landed on the windshield instead of the paint: and on the passenger side instead of right in front of ME.

I remember in my youth my mates and i would search high and low for the elusive bearded clam.

I had my windshield replaced a 2 months ago. Took a rock on the highway. Now i didn't do a stock glass but i called and had it done within a week. .Im sure being on low end of the totem pole model wise helped me out. I have a premium so not a lot extras in the glass. I can't see having to wait so long for a replacement. You'd figure that would be a common repair. Especially with the safety aspects and potential ticketing that can come with a cracked glass

I haven't checked other glass companies yet, will this week.
