Detonator key fob ('18-'21) on '22 refresh stinger? Anyone done it or know how?

Has anyone figured out if you can get the original detonator style key fob to work on the 2022+ stingers? I know the new fobs have a 5th button on the side, but are the internals otherwise swappable?

I feel a little cheated that they downgraded to the standard kia fobs on the "refreshed" model. I'd like to remedy this as painlessly as possible. :coffee:
 
You feel cheated because of how it's shaped? I would imagine Canada was included with this but I believe all 2022 stingers with the refreshed fob got built in remote start on the fob. The earlier models didn''t.

Facelifted Australian Stingers have the detonator-style key fob with remote start. The remote start button resides in the space where US-market Stingers have a 'panic' button. If you accept losing the 'panic' button functionality, it might be possible to import an Australian key fob and have a US KIA dealer program it to the car, as they would do if someone needed to replace a lost key fob. Just be prepared that it might not work.

To use remote-start on Australian Stingers, you need to press the lock button and then hold the remote-start button for 2 seconds. If US vehicles use the same remote start procedure, the chances of this working are probably better than if the US vehicles use a different procedure.

Unfortunately I don't have any idea what the part number is (there are no markings on my key fob) nor a website where one could be purchased (I'm really not much of a DIY-er). Perhaps someone on the forum who's more of a DIY-type could suggest a website to search?
