Stopped at and intersection for a police vehicle with lights and sirens on and was hit by a younger kid who i assume just wasnt paying attention. Completely bent the passenger side muffler on the borla i just bought a month ago‍♂️

Shit. Sorry to read this. At least it looks like the damage isn't extensive. Good that you weren't injured (I assume).

Yea i really didnt think it was that bad at first was just gonna buy a new bumper and call it a day, i realized my exhaust tips were shoved in and just thought they slid onto the pipe farther as there the bolt on carbon fiber tips but on my way home i started smelling rubber and when i got out i realized the exhaust was actually carving a divet into my tire. Still dont know what i should do? If inpursue insurance my rate will go up and ill have a not at fault on my record and as i have a cdl idk if it worth it! Just bummed over the whole situation tbh!

Not sure how it works down there but here in Canada if its a rear end its 100% the other drivers fault. You go through your insurance with the other drivers insurance information in their hands. Its the other drivers insurance that pays not yours...no rate increase here if its not your fault.
Its also smart to get the addition coverage if the other at fault driver doesnt have insurance...then they go after him after covering the damage.

Rear ended should never be your fault. I was so bummed at the title of your post, expecting the worst. Not bad, compared to my fears. But still!?? Dumb kids on cellphones, so many. And grownups who should know better.

(It's a daily thing driving, that I'll see someone letting huge amounts of space open up before moving. The worst scenario I ever saw was a couple of years ago, you'll love this one: I'm approaching an intersection and the light goes green and I creep by in the left lane, past a line of six vehicles in the right lane, the lead being a pig rider bent over his cellphone oblivious, and the entire lineup was SILENT: the only explanation is that each driver was just as guilty: in my rearview mirror I had put a good half a block or more before the motorcycle started to move.)

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
I slow for all tracks, sometimes to a crawl. If it's a busy street, I'll turn on the 4ways some 50-100' before starting to slow down. Sometimes still see people in the mirror slamming their brakes.

yea def not as bad as it could have been for sure, though i think im just gonna fork out the 900 for a new painted bumper and prolly another 200 for a replacement muffler for the borla. seems like the cheaper option in the end as having an acident on my carfax will kill the cars value and the increase in insurance would prolly be much more in the long run! and if i can get a name and number from the police report i may just contact the person and see if they want to pay out of pocket
