Why not get it wrapped? Get the whole vehicle wrappedi really want it but im worried on the cost of having it repainted with the prep i feel would be involved. seems like it would turn into a $1K upgrade and theres better ways to spend $1K at the moment
i like my blue. and again thats like $2500 i could have spend more efficiently imoWhy not get it wrapped? Get the whole vehicle wrapped
I think with the protection a vinyl wrap or, perhaps even better, a cosmetic PPF can offer is definitely worth it. I'm thinking that the body panels and paint on these cars isn't the most durable and should be protected.i like my blue. and again thats like $2500 i could have spend more efficiently imo
I just did a 700 mile loop to southern Oregon & Cal coast on the pacific coast highway, then back to the interior through the redwoods. I5 sustained speeds were 75-95. 101 was 45-65. Redwoods through avenue of the giants 25-35. Averaged 29.1 mpg on 91 & 92 Octane for the entire trip. For those that own the scorpion spoiler. Did it impact fuel economy at all?
I'd say that's pretty good and next to zero difference from without the spoiler. Excellent detail as well. That's pretty much what I get in the summer when driving long distances in Alberta. One time I got 33 mpg, but was driving downhill most of the time .I just did a 700 mile loop to southern Oregon & Cal coast on the pacific coast highway, then back to the interior through the redwoods. FYI: Temperatures ranged from 41° to 101° so a/c was about 1/2 the trip.
Sweet. What was the shipping, roughly
I’ve actually heard from a guy who does lots of paint correction, ceramic coating, and detailing. He stated that Hyundai/Kia uses really good paint He’s a Mopar guy, running around with a $70k Challenger SRT and says their paint is shite.I think with the protection a vinyl wrap or, perhaps even better, a cosmetic PPF can offer is definitely worth it. I'm yet to come across a manufacturer-specific car forum where the members DON'T say their car's paint is crap.I’ve actually heard from a guy who does lots of paint correction, ceramic coating, and detailing. Hi, your Scorpion Wing looks fantastic. I’m trying to locate one in Australia, fortunately I’m not in any rush because I’m unlikely to take delivery until 2023.I saw your post on the fb page too, looking good.
The paint quality on mine was solid too.View attachment 69208
I had one delivered in the ceramic grey last week, its in the backseat waiting for its appointment with the paint shop- my car is the Ascot green. It delivered fairly quickly, so they must be in stock here in the US, because I tried a few months ago and the oirder was cancelled with no ETA of stock- it was $380 delivered. Tuscani Customs (Korea) has the Ascot green wing, but they want over $1k for itHi, your Scorpion Wing looks fantastic. Can you help with the part number?
My Stinger will be Ceramic Grey (I believe Ceramic Silver in Canada/USA). What colour is yours?
So far I have: J5872-AP000-AB but not sure if this is the correct colour coding.
Please help?
Below is what mine will look like.

Could always reach out to someone stateside and have them ship it to you if you can afford the shipping and want it that bad, a few years back I had to do that for the Valve Index (VR headset) for one of my friends in Australia. He had just started working at a game studio and even the studio couldn't get one. I had one at my door and shipped out to him as soon as he asked me.Cheers, thanks for confirming that park number. Your car looks awesome.
I’ll keep searching, none of the Australian parts distributors stock the wing because the Scorpion is for the American market only.
