New Intake

You can’t. Unless you cut up the box but that defeats the purpose. Here’s the best attempt at reusing the stock boxes but they hack up the lid and use crappy little filters. You can see in those photos how little space there is inside.

I actually used those filters for a couple weeks, and gotta say it's pretty decent on the ear dyno. Unfortunately couldn't fab up the top, and forgot to buy the mandrel bend elbows, so the filters were run without stock box.

Anyone heard any updates on these?
I've ordered them and R&D is now complete. Shipments will start early June and be shipped in the order of your purchase date so could be longer for some.

I called them at the beginning of this week to inquire about them and they told me late June they would be available and early July for shipping out to customers

That kinda stinks but it's worth the wait for a good enclosed intake. I'm very interested in these intakes to pair them with my airscoops.

In the same boat. Definitely waiting on these but I’ll let some ppl get them first to see if everything is ok and up to par.

To whoever gets these filters, can you do a sound recording once they are installed? I want to know if they make similar sounds to the K&N CAI filters.

They are absolutely no different from stock set up. And that is the best part about them.

Most likely either a smaller or larger surface area.
Which only makes it more or less often for replacement/cleaning of the filters.

Hopefully, the filters have more surface area to suck in a higher volume of air.

I mean it is also a key factor in IAT's and by association the AFR the car runs, by in turn creating more power.

Yea. That's why i am saying the best part about it, it is copying stock system. Instead of all those aftermarket systems that suck hot air from engine compartment.

Yep, its a shame that SSR stopped producing their intake system, having the air filters mounted behind the front grill instead of in the engine bay would work even better than an enclosed solution.......
