Can you help me with my question that is it fine if I mix 30% of E85 with normal petrol with the original fuel tank?
So how can I test it:/ + can you help me also how can I mix it?
So when my tank goes to empty I should add first e85 then the petrol or how it work?
Btw I just order the jb4 but whould like to try the map 3 and 4 thats why iam asking about e30
Many thanks again

is it bad if you have less ethonal in the tank then you think? or is testing just to make sure you're adding how much you think you're adding? like is it bad on the engine if the ethonal is lower then e30?

from what I’ve read. Our fuel pump can only handle 30%, going over is a gamble.
Testing for E% so you can get as close to E30. Heard of some E85 testing higher then 85%.
Getting less then 85% will not hurt just not getting the E30 your expecting.

So using the online ethanol calculator.
Let assume the E85 is 85%.
Your gas tank is empty.
Per the calculator. You would only need 4.27 gallons of E85 and 11.73 gallons of 93
So if the E% is less your still safe. Your just not getting E30%
If you install the Fuel-it flex fuel kit, and plug the wire into the JB4 (white wire to position 4 of the 25 pin connector). I believe there is an option in the JB4 setup to enable the input, and a map that will help adjust a little bit for the actual ethanol content. I just got my flex fuel kit but haven't installed it yet. SO, I am still experimenting with the actual setup.
I think you are still limited to E30, the HPFP can't provide enough volume because it has to flow more fuel the higher the E number gets. I read that you can do E50 if you do CPI which is a separate injector in the charge pipe directly controlled by the JB4 with an FSB. Since it taps off the LP fuel line, it doesn't hit the HPFP limit.
Even if you fill up with more ethonal.
You’ll get worst miles per gallon vs reg 93 gas.
On avg you’ll get 25% worst on full E85 vs reg gas 10% ethonal.
There been studies done, usually worst cost benefit from E85.

But this was full E85, since we can only run up to E30 the decrease in mileage would be minimum.
The fuel it kit to attach to the jb4 is like $200 or you can get the cheap test tube.
Or as my example above only fill up to 4.27 of E85 and the rest of 93

Awesome. So you can really feel the difference?
I just got done installing a fuel-it flex fuel kit so I can see the true ethanol content.
Hope to get some E85 later today to get it up to E30.
