I ordered one from ARK on the 14th and it should be here next week.I'm considering buying this hood just wondering if anybody has it quality issues safety issues. fitment issues Thank you appreciate it.
are you going to run hood pins like recommended?I ordered one from ARK on the 14th and it should be here next week.
I haven't decided yet, between the Legato and the S-FX the Legato looks like it will be stiffer due to the added ridges from front to back around the vent. We shall see when it gets here, I did order the low pressure hood struts but again with the hood structure looking stiffer I don't know if they will be needed.are you going to run hood pins like recommended?

The vent dose not really matter. I drove with my vented hood and cold air intakes in rain, snowstorms and touchless car washes. Unless your car goes for a bath you will be fine. With my old seibon hood I could actually see the filters through the hood, and if I could see it then water could for sure touch them lol. I have it all: vented hood, cold air intakes and intake snorkels. If vented hoods pose a danger of hydro locking your engine then I would have had mine dead a long time ago. Granted I do not recommend driving in a massive downpour with the seibon TS and JT intakes since the filters are pretty much open to the elements. Every other hood should be fine however. Those hoods look great. My main concern is in regards to letting too much water in through the hood during inclement weather. It would be excellent if a hood vent could function as an actual vent whilst also allowing water to drain safely, instead of having to close the vent during wet weather or whatever.
This hood looks great man def the one I want, youre not having any fitment issues?Well it finally arrived and still needs some adjusting but I love the design.

Fair enough. I appreciate your input. Do you notice much additional dirt in your engine bay after using a vented hood? The vent dose not really matter. Yes, a little dirt under the hood where the hood latch is. However in the area where the vent is pretty clean, I guess the rain washes most of the dirt away lol.Fair enough. I appreciate your input. Do you notice much additional dirt in your engine bay after using a vented hood?
Fair enough haha. Thanks for the information. I'll definitely look at one of these hoods more seriously in the near future.Yes, a little dirt under the hood where the hood latch is. However in the area where the vent is pretty clean, I guess the rain washes most of the dirt away lol.
For an aftermarket hood it fits pretty goodThis hood looks great man def the one I want, youre not having any fitment issues?
The vent lines up with the fan, so it isn't dripping on the engine or anything buy maybe blown by the fan when it is running.looks really nice can You post a pic of the functional vent from under the hood Thank you
