Hi gents,

Kia Stinger 2.0T RWD, European 2020 model, still under waranthy. Took it for a paint job and front windshield replacement ( minor chips ) in a non-KIA paint shop.
Windshield was replaced with an OEM one, car was started to be moved in for paint job, afterwards it won`t start. So far:

1. Battery checked and recharged
2. Door lock and unlock working + electrical seats.
3. Second key fob brought just in case ( also tried starting it with the keyfob pushing the start stop button.
4. Once you attempt to start, first yellow light in the rpms section ( car with key ) flashes for a blip of second, then sign reads: Check Steering wheel Lock system.
5. Steering wheel is locked and wouldnot release.

Car will be fetched to KIA dealership, but trying to sort it out myself, as it will cost me another week without a car. So any help is highly appreciated

So, it started once, then would not restart? Something got dislodged/disconnected mucking around with the windshield replacement. Kia will sort it out, then raise an eyebrow at you for going with non-Kia service. :P Sorry you are going through this.

Only things disconnected are the front right headlight and passenger door handle
Why were the headlights disconnected? Also the disconnected door handles could be something since they hold the button for the proximity unlock. Anyways I don't think the windshield has anything to do with your issues, unless they messed with the sensors that connect to the top of the windshield. There is a gps, rain sensor and lane keep assist sensor. Probably something else as well. When they did the paint job did they take off any panels? If so did they touch any modules?

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

Front fender and passenger door need paint job, hence the deinstall. Guess the door handle antenna is messing up as it is part of the IBU-SMK

they either disconnected something else, or sliced it if they removed the fender.
