After many months and a lot of headaches I can finally let everyone know about a built transmission option for our cars. Let me start off by saying I have yet to have the opportunity to fully test the limits of the new transmission but I finally have one in hand so I want to let everyone know about it. Thanks to Level 10 Transmissions I was able to get a "bulletproof" build. If anyone else is interested or has any questions let me know and I will help anyway I can.

Woo!
Details on their modifications?

I swore to myself in 2001 I would never - ever - rebuild a trans again. Which is why I started rebuilding transmissions again last year. Started digging around about the AT8R out of curiosity and didn't see much in the way of aftermarket support. Very curious what they've come up with.

This is the message I got from Pat earlier this morning
Your transmission is built for 700hp. There is a year warranty. Each transmission is built to order, depending on what each customer is looking for. Your build has a super pump, high pressure valve body, torque converter upgrade and planetary upgrade. As well as upgraded parts.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

Do you plan to go big turbo with your car or something? the stock transmission has already been shown to handle 500whp fine, 700 is not that large of a jump in terms of being built.

I actually have already been through 2 stock transmissions. When the last one went I was just over 500hp and it siezed in the burnout box

Honestly not really I still have the 2nd one sitting on a shelf to hopefully 1 day donate to further the cause of determining failure. Another big thing that I have noticed is the difference between the electronic and cable shift. Most of the ones complaining about transmission issues are cable like myself

which model stinger do you have?

Wait the transmission is pretty much the same except that there is no cable to shift. Same tq converter, same gear set, etc. Why would one have more issues than the other?

From what I have been told they are different internally.
Really? That's interesting.... how does your rebuilt transmission feel? If your TCU tuned?

Sorry for the delay on an update been really busy at work. So had the transmission in for a couple weeks and I have to say so far I love it. I'll start off by addressing some of the concerns along of people had. The day to day drive ability has been great, its smooth and comfortable on daily driving. When you get aggressive with it, it give it right back, I noticed a more aggressive feel while spirited driving. Been taking it easy for the most part making sure I brake it in correctly. If all goes well should be taking it to the drag strip this week for next round of testing.

Glad it's running well so far.

Roughly, how much do the mods cost?
