I'm looking at adding downpipes to my Stinger but not sure which one's to go with and what kind of drone I should expect. I have the MBRP Pro Exhaust and there is little to no drone and I love the way it sounds. I want to add downpipes for the performance aspect more than the sound but I am worried about too much drone.

Anyone with an MBRP Pro Exhaust experience bad drone after adding a downpipe? If so what did you do to combat it?

I don’t have the same exhaust I just bought the JUN BL downpipe and GT catback exhaust. If your looking for a downpipe I would highly highly recommend the JUN BL. Not only is it half the price of most they are out of S. Korea and have a contract with KIA to put exhaust systems on their cars before they hit show room floors. I could not be happier. Kia Stinger 3.3T - Jun Bl Secondary Downpipes

My guy that installed the down pipes and exhaust had 0 custom work to do. These are literally made for the stinger. Take OEM off bolt new one on. Mine was really smooth though cause I went all JUN BL

I almost went Borla until I found out about the JUN BL but I saw some YouTube vids of your setup. Sounded really good. The JUN will crackle and pop when a little cold but the description said it would but nice growl at low speed and at low RPM on hwy in cruise control almost no noise which I like but man when I punch it, that thing screams. Catback GT was a 39.7hp increase 5.5tq but they didn’t give any specs on the downpipe but I’m told general rule of any down pipe is 15-20hp and some torque. Again I highly recommend JUN BL man. Not just because I have it but I did my research and I would have been disappointed if I hadn’t.

Any issues with the downpipes and overboost ? Love that setup my guy with the Jun bl gt exhaust and downpipes . What kind of power are you making with just those two ?

If you are installing secondary downpipes you will be fine but if you are installing a primary downpipe you will need a tune.

I have the Borla catback with UP downpipes (primary & secondary). The drone is terrible with the downpipes but only at WOT. Normal driving sounds great! I had overboost issues with the downpipes and had to get EWG add-ons with the JB4 tuner to resolve that issue.

I have MBRP pro and Ark downpipes.. from my ass Dyno the DPs did more than the cat back, also the MBRP was a little quiet in my opinion. The DPs gave me the burble and aggressiveness I was looking for.. I added tips to get rid of the ugly stock ones and I have no drone
