I'm new to this forum. Just purchased a 2022 GT2... love it! The first thing that I want to upgrade is the wheels and tires. I have placed an order for the HRE FF11 in 20x8.5ET33 in front and 20X10ET35 in rear.

Based on my research, it apprears that I can go with a 245/35 front 285/30 rear set-up. The overall height moves from 26.0 to 26.75 an increase of 2.55% in front and 2.71% in rear over stock. I do not plan to lower the car at this point. Does anyone have this set-up on their Stingers? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I’m running Front 245/35/19 et: 32 & Rear 275/30/19 et: 38 at stock height without issue, I also know of another running the same but in 20” without issue.
Based on your specs above you should be OK.

Thanks Stinger GT SS! It's time for new tires on my 2019 GT/RWD and I wanted something a little wider. I think I'm going to go with your recommendation and maybe add some small (5 mm) spacers.

No problem, yes I like wider too & I’m very happy with my set up, it gives a good stance & improved handling with a larger footprint on the road. Wheel spacers are illegal in OZ but this is how mine looks the offsets fill it out nicely & no poke.

That looks great! I see you also have the mud guards. I bought some Rokblokz, Rally Style mud guards that I'll put on once the wider tires are on.

Thank you, yes I have the genuine Kia mud flaps & they help a lot while still being discreet.

Thanks Stinger GT SS for the feedback. I like the PIC of your stance. What is the width of your 19" rear?

I decided to hold off on that HRE step-up. With a 20x10ET35 wheel, I would push the outer edge of the wheel/tire about 30mm out. I thought this would extend just a little outside the wheel well and dis not want that look.

I'm actually think of going to 19" wheels mainly b/c I'm leary of the 35 front 30 rear that you went with. I know it looks good, but I'm wooried of pot holes and the like. I want to protect the wheels. I'm thinking of the 245/40/19 FR 275/35/19 RR set-up. It raises the height about 0.6", but this should not be a problem. Lookinf for 19x8.5 FR and 19x9.5 RRs or maybe 19x10. The HREs are very difficult to get in this size specially w/ right offsets.

Now, I'm looking at these three wheels: Avant Garde M650, Rays Gram Lights 57FXX Pro, and a couple models in the VS Forged line-up, like the VS17 the most. I have had two sets of Avant Grade wheels in the past so comfortable with that brand. They also have a ton of color options. I just ran into this Gram Lights model today, and I have been looking at VS Forged for a while since for a forged wheel, their pricing is great. Any comments specially on the quality of the Rays and VS forged wheels? All of these come in both 19" and 20" w/ good offets for Stinger.

I’m on F: 19 x 8.5 & R: 19 x 9.5, 19 x 10 also should fit OK with the correct offset.
As for tyre size I was thinking of going up to 245/40/19 & 275/35/19 but my tyre shop was a lititle concerned that the increase of height up front my rub or scrape, so I played it safe & went the same, to be honest the ride quality never changed from OE sizes & I’m running Falken FK510 on the lighter weight semi-forged Koya’s.
The Avant Garde in the right colour would look really nice.

Just to add here is a side shot of the stance, remembering I’m at OE height.

I have a similar set up on mine. 245/30 +30 and 285/30 +40. I like it and it still looks good even when aired up to stock height.

Looks very nice. I'm still oscillating between the 19"s and 20"s. Gotta make a decision soon. I'm also looking at this Variant wheel. They come in both 19" and 20".

If your not going to lower the car I’d go 20”, that’s my only small regret, I should have gone 20”.

This photo is with 20” with same size tyres as mine & at OE height & it fills the wheel arches nicely without being problematic.

Thanks for the advice. Yes, I'm leaning towards the 20"s with the 245/35 + 285/30 combo. Raises ride height up 0.75", but this is under 3% increase. I have done some research and many people have this fitment.

Yes this would be perfect combo & as I said before I should have gone that route, oh well live & learn but I’m still very happy with my choice.

Watch out for those flow formed HRE's there are multiple complaints I've seen now that they are CRAP

Yup, I saw one of those videos. Hard to believe with HRE. Their fully forged wheels are awesome. Thanks...

So in the pics you have posted your tires are 245/35/19 front, 285/30r19 rear? I'm about to get this exact same setup but was concerned with fender gap bas I only have a 1" drop. And also concerned with the overall looks. If the ones pictured are that size, I will have those on my car before days end.

front: 245/35r20 rear: 285/30r20

I wanted to keep the stock wheels so was a bit limited on my tire options but, went with Bridgestone Potenza Sports; front 235/35/19 rear 275/30/19. I love the rears. Would have preferred 245 in the front but America's Tire wouldn't do it. I also just installed GRBS Coilovers. I might add some small spacers just to fit the wheels the rest of they way? Not sure yet.

Following, as I too will be replacing my tires and was looking at going wider while on stock wheels. Would the 245 fr and 275 rear work on the current GT2/RWD wheels?

Yes, 245/35/19 and 275/30/19 (least variance to odometer) or 245/40/19 and 275/35/19 (for fatter setup, though odometer is a bit more off) are common replacement tires for the OEM GT wheels.
