3.3TT Kia Stinger Aftermarket Exhaust Information and Discussion

I just got the exhaust installed this afternoon.
I will try to make some videos this week end. So far, no drone at all.
In terms of decibels, the exhaust is not as loud as what I recall from my previous exhaust*,
but I like the sound and I was told it should get louder as I put more miles on it.
When closed, it is almost impossible to tell from stock, in the lower RPM range, but if I floor it, it is clearly not stock.
I wished it was 100% like stock when closed, but I don't think any exhaust offers that possibility.
When opened, and in sport mode, it feels as if the car is faster than before, but I guess its just the thrill because of the sound. :D
The installation took longer than I expected, and more than half of time was spent working on the wiring from the muffler valve to the OBD.

BTW, the exhaust is really light compared to stock.

* Jun.BL GT non-EVC - kept less than a month because of the drone at cruising speeds
What size is the outlet so I can fit tips to the ends?

hey guys just chiming in on the thought of doing secondary downpipes (cat delete ) , any draw backs with a stock tune ? and mbrp exhaust thanks in advance .

Wow, those look horrendous. I expected the quality to be best of the best given they cost as much as an exhaust… I went with AliExpress oval gloss CF tips for my MBRP exhaust and after 1 year and over 40,000km driven, they look almost brand new. I only spent $150 CDN on them.
Hi again Buklau, do you have a link to those Aliexpress pipes if you don’t mind me possibly copying you?

I just installed Jun BL downpipes/midpipes. One of the best mods I ever did. Exactly the sound I wanted and I have stock tune and MBRP SS

I have Ark Secondaries + MBRP Catback with stock tune. I think since I added AEM intakes, I overboost during hard accelerations when the weather is cold out.

Has anyone heard of the OBX catback exhaust system for the Stinger? I know they make downpipes that some people run, but I couldn't find anything in the search, or online, or on YouTube regarding the catback system for the Stinger.

It won't let me post links since my account is new, but if you go to Ebay and type in OBX catback kia stinger you'll see it.

Edit: Nevermind, I realized they only make it for the 2.0 stinger

Love mine too. Had it on over a year then added Jun bl midpipes after I wanted a tad more growl. Perfect sound IMO

you want the 63mm inlet ones. your choice of matte or glossy. there are stainless steel ones as well, if you want a stock look.

Thank you. Are they long enough to reach the MBRP piping?
