Hi all, I’m curious if anyone could answer if 17” rims would function on my 2018 Stinger GT AWD.

I have an opportunity to get blizzak winter tires meant for 17” rims. I’d have to buy the rims for the tires but want to make sure they could function on the car and fit without causing any issues.

Anyone know?

Thanks in advance.

Just get 18+ some kinds if wheels may be able to fit but its tight if clears at all with front brakes. My 17's (from another car) do not fit because of the face of the wheels and offset but if rocks get in they could get stuck and damage the wheels

Thanks for the response, sounds like not worth the risk.

If your dedicating wheel money and want 18's for winter i recommend 18x9 +20 with 245 to 265 size tires. Its bassicly my winter set :)

17s are too small for the front Brembo calipers.

Why so wide for the winter?

I would recommend 225 wide on 7.5" rims for winter 18's

Better cost/performance factor - for winter.

My factory wheels are 19x8 19x8.5 and i just like the added ride comfort and stability a larger tire gives. As well as fillong in the wheel well without lowering it :)

My summer tires are even wider rim but smaller tires lol

My 245/45 19 pair cost me 300 usd
The 265/35 19 rear pair was slightly more at 350

Some 17" wheels might fit the non-Brembo brakes. The 17" spare donut wheel from my old '09 Genesis Sedan fit over the stock brake calipers of my 2.0T base Stinger, no problem. In some countries, Stinger is sold with 17" OEM wheels. After I converted to Brembo brakes... 17" no longer fit. 18" is minimum. The stock 18x7.5 wheels from the same '09 Genesis fits just fine. That's what I would run, if I still live up in the North. I agree for winter applications, narrower rims and tires work better in the snow & slush.
