I'm stuck between the ark Grip catback and the MBRP Pro both with the ark secondary downpipes
The ark system seems a little lower in pitch, but I know the mbrp is a very popular choice for people.
Anyone have any personal experience with both systems?
Also looking for the best place to purchase.

No experience with Ark, only MBRP pro. Had it on for a year and love it with no regrets. Wouldn’t choose another. I heard with Ark grip though the tips don’t align properly through the channels. Just something to keep in mind.
Purchased through K8 store. I like Summit racing too since they supply estimated ship dates. May have another sale end of this month.

Ya I seen that about the ark tips right after posting this post..... I don't suppose it would be very hard for any muffler shop to fix.... But it is a bummer considering how much that exhaust is.

MBRP doesn't seem to mesh well with downpipes. I've seen a few others with the same complaint as me. I tried it, and there was a very loud, tinny buzzing noise that you just cant get rid of. As I always tell people, it made the car sound like a clapped out civic. I have the aluminized steel version, but I don't think it matters. Keep that in mind

That's exactly what I'm trying to avoid. Have you heard anything about the full ark system sounding bad?

I have not. But I’ve never looked into it

Thats my issue I have IMR catless downpipes to Ark Secondarys with MBRP Stainless. I get a god awful tinny sound at 2k rpm to 3k rpms. I was told a small oval resonator might fix it. Did you end up swapping yours out at all?

I went back to stock downpipes

I had that tinny sound with the mbrp and ark downpipes. I got my mechanic to do another tighten of all the bolts and it’s gone now. It made a huge difference once that was done.

I tried that. Even used an impact. Didn’t work. But I’m glad it worked for you and you can enjoy the setup. It sounded great when it wasn’t buzzing

I have the Quicksilver silenced midpipes and I don't have any more rasp than I did with stock mids.

I don't think they make them anymore, but I imagine adding some small resonators to the MBRB X-pipe section would have the same effect.

The Ark Grip Catback for the 3.3T paired with secondary downpipes is one of the best sounding exhaust options in my opinion. I think it sounds deep, aggressive and sporty without being overly raspy or obnoxious.

The MBRP Catback Exhaust is a good option but I don't feel like it's as refined as the Ark Grip Catbackack Exhaust.

Whichever one you choose to go with, let me know and I can set you up with a discount on your order!

I was thinking of trying that.
