Good evening to all,

it’s been awhile since I have been up here. Quick update…. I recently traded in my 2018 GT2 on a 2022 GT2 AWD

I decided to do some more upgrades on this car due to the fact that it hooks and goes and there is no traction issues. Lol. The 2018 was RWD Version. Anyways, With this car I have added the ark midpipes and getting ready to add the stillen intake system. My question is….. does anyone on here have any input on the ark catless midpipes with added Stillen Catback system?….

I really like the sound of the Stillen System, however…. I can’t stand drone and noise!!!!

Also, remember on the 2022 Stinger, I have a variable exhaust valve built into the rear pipes that adds noise in sport mode.

Thanks to all and i appreciate anyone’s input!

With that combo you will get low freq reverb that I would consider drone in the 1k to 2k rpm cruising range
It's annoying
But people have diff opinions on what counts as drone tho

Appreciate that. Anyone on here running this combo?

would love to hear some more commentary on this.

I have the Ark catless secondary pipes and Stillen catback. I also have carbon fiber tips that extend past the bumper, so I get a little less drone at highway speeds. But, there is a resonance at 2k-2500 rpm. It's not terrible, but it's definitely not stock sounding. The good thing about having an HK sound system and aftermarket sub...I can just increase the music volume to drown out the noise!

Plus, I've added Kilmat 50 mil throughout the trunk and hatch, so that helps as well.

Good morning! Thanks for the input! What is the power increase like? With that setup? Did you put the parts on all at ounce?

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

I installed the secondary pipes first. I later installed the exhaust.

The secondaries didn't provide much power. 5 whp and a pound of torque peak (although, across the entire power band, there was an increase over stock pipes).

Exhaust netted more torque (10 ft. lb.), but not much whp.

But, every car is different. You may gain more. Best thing to do is get a dyno at stock and then measure after each part goes on. On the same dyno, of course.

You have picked two fantastic options for your new Kia Stinger.

Both the Ark Performance Downpipes and the Stillen Catback Exhaust are premium products well worth the money.

You are going to experience some drone with this combination which is sort of inevitable with the Kia Stinger chassis.

I have the Ark Performance Downpipes & Thermal R&D Catback which is one of the quietest exhausts & I still have drone.

One way to combat this would be to add in some sound deadening and to get yourself some exhaust tips to help extend

the exhaust past the bumper.
