3m Scotchguard Paint Protection Film Pro Series Install

It has come to an end. The ppf was removed. The tint was removed. I was refunded 95% the cost. I suppose my only issue is they left adhesive on the car where it was wrapped (edges) and adhesive on the windshield. All and all an unprofessional outfit. I have an appointment tomorrow to have the windows re-tinted. Cannot get a ppf install until the first week of October. For 37 years of "experience" the only thing I can come up with is, they thought I was some idiot who wouldn't inspect the work and be mindless about the service provided.

Or, "37 years of experience" doesn't mean quite how it is meant to be taken. It's like a local hobby shop: original owners sold, the name stayed the same, and the shop inventory and name was sold at least two more times that I knew of: there was nothing to connect the new owners to the original name of the shop/business: to make it even more interesting, this same named hobby shop/business went through at least four location changes. The claim that went along with the name of the business was that it had been around since some year in the 50s, which literally was true if you just counted the name and the kind of hobby stuff that they sold: but was untrue if that was meant to claim some kind of continuous, unbroken run of expertise.

Im glad you stuck it out and fought.

Im actually surprised you haven't given away their business name.

Im sure your next ppf installer will be mindful and you know what to expect.

While my experience was terrible. I do not want to sully their name. I have seen their products on other vehicles and it was good. I attribute my luck to simply a bad two day job and a couple of weeks of excuses. I do not like that they seemed full of excuses. They did mention they had issues with the install. I think while they may have experience it doesn't mean they are actually good at what they do or innovative. I think there is definite room for process improvement especially when I set the standards and expectations (Full wrapped edges) and they failed. I do think the majority of their customers don't care and/or do not pay enough attention to be discerning. IMHO, just because it is shiny doesn't mean it is great.

Classy - but I'm willing to bet that your isn't a unique occurance, others just didn't complain.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Sounds like you were the training car for Timmy the newhire.
Lesson learned, get "fully wrapped edges" in writing.

Glad you got most of your money back.
