I dropped my car off today, a 2019 Kia Stinger GTS for service. I noticed a 2022 stinger had a 5 k market adjustment. Is this typical?

I mean if people are "sheeple" to fall for it... then...Typical for dirtbag dealers. Pretty good indicator the dealer is a dirtbag.
G, Yes that is the exact 5k market adjustment I have seen. Same thing with the G70 they just try to hide it better they raise the MSRP by 3k and then add market adjustment of 2k so you think they are only bumping up 2k. When the prices come back down I think the dealers are going to have a hard time with the lower prices.I dropped my car off today, a 2019 Kia Stinger GTS for service. This part of your response was a givenIf i was a car dealer, i would be taking advantage of the situation 100%.
You can call it "blink game" if you want. At the end of the day, i doubdt, any dealer would be sitting with "overpriced " inventory, just so they can "feel powerful". When you try to replace a math in business, with feelings and understanding, you go bankrupt. I think the tread about people on this forum selling their stingers to carvana..etc is still active. Nobody complained that they sold their cars for "unreasonable " price. Demand is high, so they sold it, with the proffit in many cases. So i dont understand why people are complaining about "high" prices. Edit: i've just noticed, who i replied to, so it is safe to say if it was up to you, you would be supporting "mandatory" fixed prices for everything, not just a cars. This part of your response was a given. It certainly is a free market, just sucks when potential Stinger owners can't find a reasonably priced car or have to travel super far away for one. And what sucks even more is these same (greedy) dealers are not moving many Stingers. It's just fun to point out that the dealers are literally hurting themselves while thinking they're being clever.
The Stinger even during the pandemic isn't selling well. Most dealers have Stinger inventory. That's a sign their markups aren't helping them to sell cars. You can call it "blink game" if you want. Go to Venezuela and teach them "reasonable economy". They could use some laughter
Please provide, where are you getting your numbers from. The Stinger even during the pandemic isn't selling well. Most dealers have Stinger inventory. That's a sign their markups aren't helping them to sell cars.
Do a search for any random metro area in the country on Kia.com . You will not have a hard time finding a Stinger. And this inventory has been consistent since early Summer once the logjam at the ports started to ease a bit and they could get the cars to the lots. Please provide, where are you getting your numbers from.
Don't want to touch this? I wouldn't if I were you, either. Introspection can be scary, especially in the self absorbed mind. What does 'feeling powerful' have to do with anything? Freudian slip?
Wonder what had sales so slow August 2020... and that whopping 3% increase year over year. I bow to thee for thy data sleuthing.Sales - By Month here you go. Unless i am reading it wrong, stinger sales are rising. So what data did you use?
