It feels a fair bit more responsive on a roll. Add the TCU and it overpowers all four a little in say a sweeper corner. I'm a big fan of JB4 but the ECU/TCU are fully in control and when you can change them it's just a different game. Kind of like an Audi S4 or M340i launch vs a stock G70 launch. The nannies are off.
If you want a quicker than map 2 tune that works well, just ask Lozic to send you what I got.
So from your experience would you recommend choosing boost standby OFF? I'm asking this question to anyone I can. Seems like the boost standby function has its positives and negatives. But which out weigh which is the question. Lozic told me that the oscillating noises have been eliminated. Hopefully he has also eliminated the all or nothing boost you are experiencing. Currently I'm leaning towards selecting the boost standby ON.
Well, I really like the smooth feeling of stock. I've tried both pressure 2 and 3. I have 2 right now and it's great. 3 was too much for my liking. However, if I were to do it again, I would go stock or level 1, -8% and torque limit off. Many people love 3 and many others love 2....
What kind of feeling do you like in terms of shifting?

Like I said, stock feels great to me. The extra pressure for shifts is cool but I prefer smooth. I'm likely in the minority. I would do -8% to shift earlier and always be in the power band and then like you said, launch like a rocket!

I have 2/-5% like you, and wish I had gone with 1/-8% too. I don’t need the kick from the added pressure. It’s the quicker shifting, better launching, and different shifting logic that I was really after.

My only complaint when I installed the 2/-5% was the shifting “jolt” when going through the gears in comfort mode while driving slowly/normal. After roughly 1k miles with the tcu installed it has seemed to adapt to my driving style and goes through the gears more smoothly…(or maybe I’m just used to it now)
I even turned my pedal tuner back up a few notches.
I agree the JB4 does way more then just logging which is why I regretted not buying one in the first place. But at this point I only plan on running the Lozic ECU+TCU so for my current purpose the JB4 would only be used for logging. Ideas for other options to log data?
There are scanners that you can review live data. How would you make adjustments? You can certainly log data but you need a way to make adjustments (if need be) after logging. The JB4 allows for some of that. I think you would need logging and tuning capability software.
I’m working out the kinks first. I put my Lozic ECU/TCU just over 3 days ago. Also, I’m getting my primaries on next Tuesday want to wait for what that looks like since I’m moving to a 200 cell HFC. Map 0 looks good right now. Moving to Map6. May have some adjustments after the primaries get on. I think the benchmark is jwilliams.
This is from Friday night test and tune, TCU only. The log from this run showed 3psi boost at launch. Found out that higher boost on launch is only available if you have Lozic ECU + TCU. I'll be keeping my brake mod for higher boost off the line and quicker 60'.

Got my TCUs and AWDs I am leaving for a while on Saturday and I am not sure that I will manage to install and test them before. As soon as I do I will share the results. Very fast delivery to Poland (11 days).
