It's been fun and informative here at stingerforum, but I traded the Stinger last night for a Hyundai Santa Cruz Limited.

My two Stingers were great cars, fun to drive, and real head-turners. But the wife and I are getting some age on us, and she was having more and more trouble falling in and climbing up out of the Stinger. We needed something taller, and I just can't make myself like SUV's or big trucks. The Santa Cruz is perfect for me, with lots of room, easy in and out, some hauling capacity if I need it, and enough power from the 2.5 liter turbo engine (281 hp, 311 ft-lbs of torque).

I want to mention that with the used car market hot as fire right now, I got $41,000 for my 2020 Stinger GT2. Givemethevin.com had offered $40,350, but with trade-in, I saved on all that sales tax and paperwork.

Again, it's been fun, and I wish you all happy trails!

It's not like you dropped a bomb on us, you've been saying Bye for a while. Enjoy your driving, you two.

Congrats Mike, and sorry to see you go.
I have known your name since the Optima days when I believe two of them got wrecked on you
My 2020 GT1 has treated me well since I leased it back in February of 2020, and I’m sure Stingers have treated you well to

Thanks, Glen. Yep, I got rear-ended TWICE in 2 months with my last Optima. What a deal! lol. But those were excellent cars, too, and I really enjoyed them.

The Stinger was probably the best car I've owned over the past 20 years. But it was getting hard for Mama to get in and out of, and the insurance was doing a number on me. I have no idea how much the Santa Cruz will cost, but hopefully it's less. But we move on. I trade about every 18 months or so, anyway, and I've always been fond of the little trucks. So I'll give this one a try.

I may see you again on another forum, so stay safe!

Thanks man. Looks like it's gonna be handy and fun. Don't tell anyone, but it rides a la LOT better than the Stinger, too! ;)

Nice trade-in - enjoy the new ride! Post some pictures when you get a chance. I've not yet seen the Santa Cruz in person.

Congrats! I don't mind the Stinger's ride height but I was struck by how low the seats are when I first fell in (as you described). The Santa Cruz is definitely neat!

Much as I enjoy my Stinger, when I was looking for a new car earlier this year my plan was the RS5 Sport Back in Turbo Blue. I went with the stinger because of the crazy stupid deal I got on it. I expect a year or so out I'll be getting the RS5. The Stinger is a great car but the RS5 is next level (which it should be given the price).

Bye

not one for long goodbyes..

..but wish you luck in the new whip and hope you come back and visit.

Thank you, Ric!

The RS5 is an amazing machine. I would probably pick that as a daily if I had all the moneyz in the world. :)
