I swear I'm not crazy- different brands of wiper blades work for different cars. I had a 2005 mustang where Rain-X wipers were amazing, they sucked ass on my 2016 mustang. I got Trico Onyx wipers on my 2016 mustang and they were fantastic, immediately bought them on my Stinger and they're awful- streak, squeak, and never evenly wipe. Passenger side seems fine, just the driver side sucks. Seems like its so long it isnt properly supported for a 26" blade. I even replaced it for another one and it was just as bad.

Any recommendations for wiper blades? I'd pay any price as long as its good and lasts a while.

I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO KNOW.

me too!

the stock ones work well for me. I think they're densos.

Is there something wrong with the stock wipers? What about just replacing using refills (just the rubber portion).

I haven't looked closely at mine yet. Are they stamped with "Mitsuba" on them? If so, there's probably a honda equivalent.

I like the OEM wiper blades: they are still cleaning like brand new. Here's a tip on extending the life of wiper blades: don't use them :D. Seriously, unless the water is enough to impede visibility I don't run my wipers. The common fetish is to hit the one-swipe lever when you start to see any drops: this will wipe your wiper blades out: Kia actually warns against this in the owner's manual. I go to the other extreme and won't use the wipers unless there is a copious amount of "lubrication" on the glass.

I think the stock blades are Denso designers? They're above average.

I'm using the PIAA's atm.... work well without issue I have also coated my windshield with Gtechniq G1 (Highly recommended )
what does that do exactly?

Looks like a substance similar to rainx which causes the water to bead up and roll off the glass. Similar to the wax I applied. See the video in post #8. Ffwd to about the middle of it, there's a min or so of drenching downpour but wipers were not needed. This doesn't work as well if you're moving slowly.

I used to use something called plexus (https://www.amazon.com/Plexus-Plastic-Cleaner-Protectant-13-Ounce/dp/B00092CKN4) on my motorcycle visor for a similar effect. Just rotate head L/R and the water beads right off.

Like Rain-X or more like AquaPel - Rain-x is good for a couple of months, Aquapel about 6 months, G1 for about a year (20,000km)
Water blows right off, and you hardly use the wipers at all
It's more work to apply than Aquapel, and works as well (atm, long term TBD) if it doesn't hold up I'll go back to using Aquapel - I think it's easier to apply than even Rain-x (less buffing)

I used rain-x and aquapel, now i use Griots glass sealant and in my experience it has been the best so far. easy to apply and lasts a super long time. applied it right when i got the car over a year ago and now i'm thinking it may need another coat.. still beads up and rolls away but maybe not as well as it was.

Funny this thread showed up...I was just thinking about replacing my wipers yesterday as I noticed streaks and areas of unevenness. OEM is fine, but was wondering if there was a better third party alternative. Or I can just apply some water beading solution for the time being.

+1 for this combo, using PIAA (aero vogue) with Gyeon Q2 View coating on my windshield from my detailer.
