Dreaded Warped Rotors

Yeah except I had my brakes changed used different front pads and the shudder is coming back. Seems to me like it’s a design defect with the car. Maybe the reason you get deposits are the brakes are too small for the heavy car therefore the brakes over heat pads melt and leave deposits
Seems like there's no set reason from what I see. Weird. I wouldn't think the brakes are too small for this car

If the brakes are too small for the two tons, Randy Pobst never noticed. :P If aftermarket pads don't solve the shudder issue, then my guess is that the rotors still had deposits on them or worse had developed cementite: the only solution at that point is new rotors. If the OE rotors are clean and the aftermarket pads properly bedded, then the shudder should be gone (in most cases).

I just put EBC reds on a couple weeks ago and it was quite a improvement over stock, except for the occasional squeek once in awhile. Maybe stock pads are too "hard" for these rotors?

No the rotors were changed too. That’s why I asked what rotors+pads=no shudder

You may be an unlucky one that has shudder from some other cause. Is yours through the steering wheels or seat or both? Seat shudder comes from the rear brakes. Also, it has been rare but nonetheless does occur, that aftermarket combos produce shudder: bad luck!

It's definitely the front. That's why I ask about pad/rotor combinations. I'd like to not get unlucky twice

The brakes on this car a far bigger than most cars of it's weight.

IMOP the brakes on the Stinger stink. The few times I have had to hit the brakes hard I find the anti locks to be overly sensitive, the front dives, the back comes up and the car wiggles. One of my previous cars was a 2006 Infiniti G35 coupe. The brakes were way better in the Infiniti

Can't say I've had the same experience.

Same. The car needs the brakes because it's so heavy (at least compared to my last car) but I haven't experienced any of those issues.

I put geomet rotors cross drilled and vented all the way around and no shudder.I have also gone to public drag night and made several stops from 120 mph down to about 10 mph with no problem.Any type of performance rotor for the track needs cross drilled--or vented or both to give the best performance if you plan on doing hi speed stops.

If you had a G35 coupe you’d see the difference. Too bad Infiniti beat that car with an ugly stick. The current iteration is hideous
I've driven a few g35s and ive own(ed) several nissan products. I still don't experience what you're saying. Maybe this is something with a select few cars but mine works fine.

If you experience this issue try more aggressive pads on the rear that might help balance it. What year is your stinger? Maybe they changed the bias at some point.

I had loaner sedans felt like a completely different car. Coupe has stiffer lower suspension, bigger brakes, wider tires, steering ratio is different, engine hp and torque different. I don't think the sedan even had a limited slip diff.

G37S trims (sedan and coupes) has all of the above, BBK brakes, LSD, stagger tires, tighter steering, etc. Main differences on the coupe S trim vs sedan S was the 19" tires vs 18". Can't comment on the G35 as never owned that one, but did own g37s rwd sedan.

I love the G35, G37, and the current Q50's and Q60's lmfao! If I had the extra cash I would have seriously considered a Red Sport of some flavor! :p

Yes, I've driven both and they're great, but the styling doesn't tickle my fancy. They do make great drift cars though.
