New Kia Emblem. Please rate.

So I've cast custom badges for my Stinger, as well as others, and have previously been asked to look at these new letters. From what I measured out, this new logo does not line up well in a way that will let you cover the existing holes in the hood of the Stinger unless you go larger than the stock ovals. The size and spacing of the three holes makes it challenging. Like @MerlintheMad said, you could fill the holes, but who wants to deal with that?

I don't know about the Korean and NA markets having different holes. This claim doesn't really make sense to me since I installed the Korean E badge on the hood with ease because it uses the existing 3 holes to locate.

Here's a drawing for you. The badge starts to line up once you make it a large size. 155mm (6.1 inches) across is the smallest I could manage to fit over the holes, but it's really close. For reference, the oval in the image is the size of the OEM KIA front badge.

Also, notice that even though the size above covers the holes - it isn't centered. It has to be shifted 8.2 mm to the right to cover the holes with the "I".
If the width is about a few centimeters, can all 3 holes be blocked???
And could the new KIA emblem be located in the center???
The largest size among the currently made emblems is 16cm wide.
Shall we make it a little bigger????

Tell us what you think.

When you check the photos you have displayed
Only the width can be checked as 155.32.
If you give me the length and detailed figures
I can order separately from the factory.

On Monday, I will upload the detailed length of the New emblem I have as a photo.

Hey jongkihong, any update on these?

The new Kia emblem without borders
I can't seem to be able to close the hole in the vehicle..
The size of the emblem becomes too large to close the hole in the vehicle.
If the North American vehicle is in Korea
It's easy to make an emblem.
However, it is very difficult to make a sample because there are no North American vehicles in Korea.
It is being re-produced with an emblem with a round border.

Would it help if I sent you the NA OEM Kia badge? I'm not sure if you could make a template from those holes.

According to the drawings uploaded by Rynil2000 members
You cannot close the hole with KIA letters.
It can be blocked, but the emblem is not centered.
To close the hole, it should be tilted 1cm with the right foot.
It can be prevented by increasing the size of the emblem,
If the emblem is too large in the hood of the vehicle
Vehicle and balance do not match.

Currently, the round KIA emblem is being newly produced.
Samples are available this week.
When samples are released, we will upload photos
please wait a moment..

Currently, the Genuine OEM Kia emblem has been released.
Aftermarket products are being prepared.

Also, after removing the existing emblem
for the remaining holes
It may be impossible to install a new emblem
I am thinking about selling the aftermarket emblem...

You should consider selling single emblems too. Most won't want front and rear and your price + shipping = approximately $40 more than everyone is selling just the front OEM emblem for.

At $55 vs $15 you've priced yourself out of the emblems game.

Hello, can I buy a brushed aluminum one from you please?

Ah just seen you on ebay so have ordered, im going to fill the top two holes from the old badge, so no issues

It went really well, the badge was perfect, once I had a local paint shop fill the old badge holes, I simply had to spend a little time working out how to stick it done in the best place ensuring it was straight and square to the car. I have ordered a second one which I intend to spray black and see what that looks like.
