It's like the vapor hose fused with the engine (OCC install problems)

So for a while now I've been trying to figure out how the heck to remove the hose (passenger side) to install my Mishimoto OCC, but couldn't pull it off. I'm assuming from the attached picture, they used shrink wrap?

Any lifehacks for me to take this bad boy off? I've seen suggestions like just cut it off, or use a metal pick to grab the edges of the shrink wrap (assuming this is shrink wrap).

I took a pair of pliers and very, very lightly squeezed enough to bite the hose. Give it a little twist to free it up then it should pull right off.

Yeah, rubber hoses get good and solidly attached after a short while.

Twisting helps. GENTLY grab the hose with some pliers where it's on the nipple and GENTLY twist to get it to rotate. That breaks the bond. However, it's very easy to break and/or crush the plastic nipple in there.

The other way is to use a L or U shaped hook - you can get them at any auto parts store or harbor freight in little kits. Get the tip in between the hose and the nipple and work it around to separate them.

I agree. Be careful on that plastic nipple. Mine easily came off because I installed mine at 100 miles on the odometer.

If you've got a really small screwdriver, slip it between the hose and the nozzle and gently work it around the connection to break free the hose's hold. It shouldn't take much at all. Also, hold the hose being removed close to the connection area firmly and twist it. Between the two you should break the connection. Do not pull the hose back and forth / up and down. That will break the nozzle off.
