What tire setup gives max speed

I have a 2022 GtLine. With stock tires and wheels my car stops at 133mph and goes no faster. What setup will get me too 170mph.
ps my girlfriend has a 2019 AlfaRomeo Guilia and i keep losing races to her. Help me please

It's not a tire issue my friend, it's an ECU/TCU issue. Do a search here, it's been discussed on several threads.

That is a funny question. You did not do your research on speed limiters by trim. Mostly it IS a tire limit: or rather, the OEM tire determines how Kia set the ECU/TCU: I say this because the 3.3L twin turbo has two limited speeds: the advertised one of 167 MPH, and the not discussed (in polite society) one of c. 140 MPH: and the difference is caused by the tires that are OEM: the Michelin PS4 are speed rated "Y" (or even (Y)) at 186(+) MPH; the A/S, whether Michelin, Continental or Bridgestone/Potenza, are speed rated at "W", which is 168 MPH; or even "V", which is 149 MPH; and to stay well within the safety spec the speed limiter is kept at c. 140 MPH (I believe that earlier MY18 Stingers had a speed limiter for A/S tires set at 130 MPH, because, iirc, the Bridgestone/Potenza used at the time was a "V" speed rated tire).

Is there a staggered wheel option for the 2022 GT-Line? If there is, it will probably come with Michelin UHP tires and have a higher speed limiter than yours - which is apparently 130 MPH: all actual top speeds are a few MPH over and above the speed limiter setting: e.g., I've read on here of A/S equipped 3.3L pushing close to 150 MPH; and at least one member has pushed his 3.3L to 171 MPH.

GT1 or GT2 with A/S anything is going to be limited to 140 MPH. Now, if you pick up a Stinger with A/S, and it's a previous owner acquisition, the only way to be sure is to know in detail the car's history, or do a test run. If you find yourself EASILY passing through 140 MPH into the 150s range, and still accelerating c. one MPH per second, then you better back off: because that car had Michelin PS4 tires as OEM; and pushing A/S up to 167 MPH could get you tire failure, especially if your A/S are "V" rated and not "W" rated.

Good info! Not that I'll have any use for exceeding 140mph () but how would one update their ECU if their Stinger is now wearing higher rated rubber?

You have to "crack" the ECU, and I have only read of it happening, not anyone on the forum (that I recall). Doing so would void your warranty; I don't think you could hide the hack from Kia. If you found a way, there are many mod-mad Stinger owners who would jump on that.

Top speeds are 130 mph for the GT-Line and 167 mph for the GT1 and GT2.

GT-Lines that come with staggered wheels have a top speed of 150 mph for the 255 hp engine, but I don't think they do come with them in the US.

I think Tork did a Limiter delete, but I'm not sure. Best bet is getting an extra ECU that's adjusted and to be honest if you're going to go this far you might as well tune it. Still not sure where you're going that you can reach those speeds in a 'safe' manner though. Just be sure whatever you do you have tires that are rated for above whatever you're trying to do.

"In Mexico", of course, where else? The one example I do remember was three years ago, in Germany: asserted to have broken past 200 MPH (on the autobahn, as I recall). Then there was a S. Korean example of a video clip showing some speed above 190 MPH (when you converted from Km/h); but the question was raised if that was on a dyno or was the car actually moving that fast; never answered.

you mean awd vs rwd? no, if you got an awd gt with summer tires you still get the 167 mph limit but most of them now have the 19" staggered a/s with 149 limit.

I have the potenzas but once I hit 135 it goes limp I’m guessing the ecu or the tcu has part of this plus I have a 2019 that’s AWD 3.3
