Hi all my stinger GT2 has 16000 miles and the brakes have a squeaky nose and l think that they might need to be replaced iv had a quote of£300 for the front pads is that normal for the mileage eny help would be great thanks cooper 50

Really easy to do yourself if you're interested, that video includes a bleeding procedure which isn't necessary.

It's a bit high IMO, but since you guys have good brake pads in Europe I wouldn't be opposed to paying that.

Hi thanks I just thought that 16000 isn't a lot of miles most cars can get over 40000 before you have to change the pads

It definitely is on the low side. Could be they just need a service(lube), could be dust buildup. When does the squeak happen? Does it go away?

I'm at 40000km/24000 miles and my rears still had a year or two left but I replaced them anyway. Fronts were around the same when I replaced them. I'm not even sure if they were the stock pads.

North America pads are soft and leave residue that cause vibrations but they seem to last quite a while. The Euro pads are dustier from what I understand, maybe less durable as well?

Thanks for getting back yes the squeek goes away that's what I think that it's a buildup and just may need a service thanks again

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

Hey Cooper, fwiw one of mine just started squealing today. I have 11,140 miles.

That's on a lot I thought that Brimdo or Brandon were a good Make

just do a few high speed braking stops and that will clear the residue , if that's what the issue is
