Sydney Kia dealers and current Stinger stocks?

Hello, new arrival to the forum.

I've had a bit of a browse and was trying to find info on the various Kia dealerships around Sydney but didn't have a lot of luck.

I have a few Kia dealers around me in Sydney, one of which I used to work at years ago, but looking for potentially a smooth and hassle free purchase. Interested to know who people have dealt with here in Sydney and why they were good (if they were even good at all!). I've just gotten the bug and been thinking I should forget getting a Toyota Camry Hybrid SL and just plump for one of those Stinger bad boys instead. What's pushing me over to this camp is the lack of Camry stocks here which is to be expected given the events of the past year and a bit, plus I'm not far off from 50 and I figure treating myself to something fun is in order.

Also as I've only just emailed a couple of dealers today, I haven't heard back yet, does anyone know how Stinger stocks are here in Aus? Is there likely to be a long wait? All info welcome, thank you.

I'm Canberra, not Sydney, but I ordered one in the first week of January and am still waiting, with no real indication of when delivery will be.

Not complaining - it is what it is - I'm sure if they could get the car to me and take my dollars they would, but I am getting a little jack of waiting.

From what I understand there's a quite the backlog of deliveries in Aus across all manufacturers. It'd be interesting to hear what any of the dealers you've enquired to come back with.

Typical wait would be 4 to 6 months depending where you order from. Volume dealers have a higher allocation of stock. It might pay to give Kia HO a call to establish those in your area.

I was at my dealer here in Western Sydney on Monday & they only had 1 Stinger which was a Micro Blue Demo, salesman told me they are to quote 6 months lead-time from order.
He said that interest in them is high hence they have no stock & they get more & more enquiries for them.

Welcome, we’ve been going to Great Western Kia Kingswood since 2009, both my Stinger & wife’s Cerato were purchased & are serviced there.
Every dealership has their issues & if your diligent like we are our experience has generally be fine along with a few hiccups along the way.

Good choice you won't be sorry...but you could be waiting 6-7 months i believe thats the waiting time at the moment.
