Had to replace the plugs again for the 3rd time in 14k miles since using JB4. Seems like every 4-5k it starts to misfire, I change the plugs and its good to go. Is this normal?

I was having the same issue. Just got an ecu tune. I think that will fix it.

Are you gapping them?

Been running the Densos for over 30K running either 93, E30 or Boostane Pro with no issues...

Is it always the same cylinder? Maybe a weak coil?

Yea, first set at .022 and the last two sets at .020. The .020 gaps lasted a little longer than the .022

The CEL only came on the first time because I wasn't sure what the problem was and got a misfire code. As soon as the car starts to "stutter" when I accelerate I change them, so I not sure if its the same cylinder each time.

Its the wrong plug to use i ran the same and the tips would melt went to have it dyno done to see what was going on when they knew i was running that plug they said they never run a iridium plug on a car with boost the plug to use is brisk er155xc now have more power and dose not melt the tip

i don't know about the jb4, but the race chip advises between .22-.26. maybe the .20 is the culprit.

I'm using Denso with .24 gap. JB4 (map 2), 93 octane (top tier only), intakes, and secondary pipes. No issues up to now...just crossed over 15k on the odo.

My Denso IKH24 .022 plugs lasted about 11.5k before getting misfires at >50% throttle. Just replaced them today with IKH27 with 0.022 gap. Hopefully these last longer because replacing them isn't fun.

Irudium's melting point is like 2,400 °C....doubt its melting.

Hey terry is the stock hks gap ok for 3.3 with Jb4 on map2? Thought they would have came pregapped from my supplier but they weren’t so I found out after having them installed. And trying to figure out next steps.

Pull it out and check the gap.

They aren’t gapped. So I’m on map 1 so far with no issues but earliest I can get them changed is Tuesday. Hopefully I’ll be good for map 2 then. It’s a whole headache.

They are gapped, you just don't know what they are gapped to. Which is rarely a good thing.

Yea ik they come gapped to run with the car just as but better to spend the money and get them gapped to the recommended spec and installed again.
