All I got are my aftermarket pipes going right now (see my sig below for details - JB4 has been unplugged for weeks) and I keep losing boost every so often when I’m not even flooring it or hitting high RPM. It does happen while I am accelerating though and the muffler does make a quick sputter noise before all boost is gone. There are no other odd noises after and no burning smells (or any smells) and no car warning signs or lights. Also after the car is parked (often for a few hours while I’m at work), the boost is back to normal once I drive it again.

Side note - my JB4 has been unplugged because I’m waiting for my local dealer to get the part for the 2019 recall (they refuse to touch anything aftermarket so that’s why I’ve been rolling around with the JB4 unplugged ahead of time). Another worthwhile note — I recently had the car’s pipes “fixed” to eliminate the rattling and it worked but I have no idea what exactly the shop did because their primary purpose was to fix my body damage (I know I know spare me the lectures!). I’m happy to contact them and ask exactly how they fixed the rattling; truth be told, whatever they did was awesome because not only did it eliminate 99% of rattle, but now I feel the extra little horsepower from the pipes whereas before it felt so minimal if not non-existent.

Anyway, anyone got any idea what could be going on?

OK, lets play detective here. Define aftermarket pipes? So vague.. Primary down pipes, Mid cats, cat back, muffler deletes? What did you do to this car? edit....
I just read your signature. If I was a betting man, you are over boosting. Very common with those mods. Were you not aware that was going to happen?

Nope not aware. I’m pretty new to this aftermarket mod game so I candidly admit ignorance often. If it’s a normal thing then I’ll sleep a little easier. Although will plugging the JB4 back in or anything help? Forgot to mention my intake in original post as well.

Your fix is easy though you'll have to spend a little more. Here is your solution JB4 EWG Add On Connectors (PAIR) for Kia Stinger/G70 and Infiniti VR30 Q50/Q60 Applications
EWG (Exhaust Waste Gate) cables will fix your over boost/limp mode issue. You can custom set parameters in the JB app to increase the cycle at which boost is blown off on lower RMP's, overcoming the boost issue. The underling issue is no back pressure now so the turbos spool too fast.

That fixed my over boost issues that resulted from heavy exhaust mods. I set FF lower than the recommended 50. Each car is different slightly so you have to play around a little. They have threads that discuss this @PMR818. Easy fix though!

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
Well you have high flow cats and secondary cat deletes on a stock car. You need to first get a flash tune for the lack of cats, and then diagnose a possible boost leak.

Well slap my a** and call me Sally - thank you all for helping this noob! I tried to research here to not waste time but hey I ain’t perfect.

You don't need a flash, your car isn't stock, you have a JB. EWG cables is all you need, they compliment the JB and will fix your issue for under $100. Flash will cost you over $1000.

The new recall part is plug-and-play, pop out the old fuse, pop in the new fuse. Order it yourself for $25 shipped, and ignore your dealer..

Da man, appreesh all the help and patience; a true rarity with folks nowadays. Another humble-pie question from me -- can anyone recommend any video on how to plug in just the JB4? You better believe I had someone else do it for me originally. And I tried searching here and YouTube but maybe ignorance blinded me again bc I just didn't find anything clear enough...
