Good Surprise Surprise - Buy Offer on Vroom

Gotta know what you put in the options on that one lol, I can only get $33k offers for my GT2 AWD with 29k miles.
Well KBB online had a range of $35100 - $38900 for my car as a trade in..could be the area people live in that’s having an impact as well. Chicago you think would bring good money given the population but wtf do I know..

I know the area has a decent amount to do with it but I wouldn't imagine it would have THAT much to do with it. I'm gonna have to get my plate and try vroom and not the carvana estimate lol I gave 35k otd in december. If I can get more than that ill drop it lol

I just did the KBB and it says trade in is $39,245

When putting in your info for Vroom how accurate do you have to be? I entered my Stinger but "underplayed" it (rounded up mileage, mentioned a few dents/dings/scratches that probably aren't even noticeable) a little while back and got a super quote. Would I be able to re-enter the information more accurately once I am back in Florida in a month or so? I know they use the VIN so I can't just use a different email. I am stunned by the offers from Vroom. I should see what Carvanna and CarMax say next! :p

I wouldn’t take anything to Carmax, at least not by me. When I was looking to move up and trade/sell my last car I played dumb and they offered me “rough book” thinking I was desperate to sell. I asked how they arrive at their values and they told me that their algorithm is very precise blah blah...yet they had a car on the same lot, same model, year, with 9000 more miles for 2.5 x their offer to me!
I told them to pound sand and sold my car for twice what they offered.. my family is in the car business 30+ years and wasn’t about to get picked off by some rando Carmax appraiser.

Not sure how they choose to offer what but this is almost a slap in the face based on what’s out there and the options on my ride.
They probably don't want to mess with mods and that's why the price is lower. Still a good chunk of money.

ughhhhhhh..vroom just offered me 39,900 for my 2018 GT2 with 21,000 miles....100 dollars less than I paid for it 25 months ago.....

Not thinking about selling but DAMN...thats a juicy preposition.

I'm seriously about to sell and hold off until the 400z comes out.

Are you guys putting that you have a loan on it and that there are no modifications done when going through the questions?
yes i did for the loan but for me i have no modifications anyway.

400z won’t actually hit dealer lots until 2022. Can you wait that long?

All my mods are easily reversible, just JB4, Intakes and exhaust.

Yeah I saw that, but yeah I have another fun car and another daily, the stinger was going to be my daily but i never sold the old one lol.

I ran it twice. Once with suspension/exhaust, once without.
Same price. Obviously I’d put back to stick first. Sell the parts. But it won’t change what they offer (they aren’t negatively impacting the price).

I ran no mods as the only thing added was exhaust. Price was the same.
Scrooo Vrooom

Keeping mine, no desire to sale it.

I just got a 2021 GT2 AWD with 27 miles on it for that price. It is incredible that they can find a buyer for that car when you can get a brand new one for the same amount.
