• PLEASE! It is VERY important that this area is not used for the discussion of technical issues with your Stinger. This section is for posting about regional-specific things like Stinger clubs, events, local vendor or dealer recommendations, KiaStinger.com member sightings, etcetera... In other words, I do NOT want people to need to scour through several different sections to find answers about their heads up display. That's why there's a section dedicated specifically to discussions like that. THANK YOU!

Any tips or experience on providers.

I am currently look at one quote ~$800 5 year guaranty, wants come to in my garage.

Would feel better dropping it off in someone else's workshop so it can cure there, so they are fully responsible for the outcome.

The cost$ is mainly in the time preparing and applying if you go to them it will cost more. They'll probably use heat lamps etc. Probably cost up to $2,000.

By coming to you They'll just leave it to cure. Mine cost $925 including leather protection, the brand Ceramic pro. All in all pretty happy.

Picking up a new car on Wednesday (not a Kia) Getting ceramic coating, Tint and leather protection. I laughed when they told me a 20 year warranty ( not transferable). Read the fine print and some exhaustive research, these guys are serious. $1,770 all up. Coating ;Neo tek.

The quote is for "Ceramic Pro 9h"

It's not difficult to DIY, as OZstung said the prep is the most important part, you can get someone to polish it for you for a few hundred, and coat it yourself for around $100. You may need to garage it for a a day or two as you don't want rain or water on it for 24-48 hours after coating, then don't wash it for a week after that

I'm past DYI now, my garage is in an apartment building, with cages separating spaces, and cars going in and out kicking up dust, I guess five hours to touch drive is marginal I just want to minimising any dust settling on it.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

I wouldn't be too concerned with having it done in your apartment park. I applied 3 coats over a few days in similar circumstances without issues. Ceramic flashes within 30-90 seconds so it's buffed off very quickly. The important part is to ensure the surface is pristine prior to application. As your's is a dark colour any swirls will show so it may be a good idea to have someone inspect the paintwork prior to quoting a price. Eve no though your car is new there nay be swirl marks introduced by the Dealer prior to delivery. $800 seems like a very reasonable price but it also depends on the extent of coverage. At the very minimum, all exterior surfaces including glass and wheel face and barrels should be treated. I don't have experience with interior so can't comment. Also important that you don't get it wet in the first 12-24 hours. If you're worried about dust then invest in a cover.

@GregS
Make sure you get brake calipers done too.
