Performance Intakes Comparison

I've read every thread a dozen times over and it's always left vague and inconclusive. Is there any intake replacement, mod, or snorkel combo that definitively out performs the rest or is it really just pick the color and the price you like and they are all the same?

I like the Injen design the best but I worry over the lack of heat shields that other designs have. I also plan to pair whatever I get with snorkels, because I'm under the impression even though some snorkle performance is lost without the stock airbox there should still be more air hitting the intake at the end of the day.

Does this sound right? I think the only best thing would be a Jonny Tig setup but that's just too far outside of my budget.

I may be the first person to compare aftermarket intakes. I'll have my dyno tomorrow, showing the difference between Stillen and Injen. I know the former isn't the most popular, but it does have decent shielding. I went further by wrapping the piping and side shields in heat reflective material, so it has the potential to be better than factory.

I’ve got the Stillen intakes. I am curious to the results. I always thought Injen looked cool when showing the engine. However, I went with Stillen because of the shields.
 
At the end of the day, as long as you pick a reputable brand and have it installed correctly you will get the results you are looking for.

The stock box is very restrictive and by simply swapping it out for an aftermarket intake, you set your car up to be a lot more efficient when it comes to modding.

We looked extensively into the heat shield debate and found that they are not necessary and in some cases can further trap unwanted heat in the engine bay.

I think Injen is a great option that is well made and includes a really good nano filter. Plus you get the two different color finish options to choose from.

I’ve been really happy with my BMS intakes. If you go to burger motor sports website they have dyno tests posted on the forum. They test all their products on the stinger then show you the results

AEM and K&N also provide dyno sheets. Ironically, the former shows 17 peak gain versus 9 for the latter. I say ironic, because it's the same part. K&N provides more detail on their chart, but they both use a 2018 Stinger GT, with 21,000 and 700 miles on the odo respectively.

I bought the BMS sports package for my car so it came with JB4 tuner, denso plugs and gap sizing tool for plugs, oil catch can and the intakes so I didn’t really have a choice other then blue or red. Lol but it sounded like Terry said wasn’t much difference between theirs and Injen but nothing was said about K&N which I was going to buy myself until mine were included in the bundle I bought. Injen looks the coolest but i like that BMS uses part of the stock intake box and has pretty nice heat resistance walls. I’ve always been a fan of K&N though you can’t go wrong with them. Honestly I would go either BMS or K&N. I trust BMS products just as much.
 
If i cant find a legitimate performance reason not to I can't deny the great looks of the Injen and will likely go that route.
 
What ever compliments the engine bay is what I am going with now. Getting into the performance is hard on the pockets; I learned this with my MOPAR, so I just keep it cute for now.

Would love to see temps of each, not just pull temps but stop and go driving temps. Can't wait to see the video.
