Lozic ECU + TCU + AWD Tune

What is the recommended Rev limit for best HP/Torque with their tune - isn't 6750 rpm overshooting that?

tork tune raised it also and no one has blown anything yet

Part of the TCU tune is the option to shift earlier than redline(6750) during wide open throttle. It is prepopulated at -5%, which should equate to just a touch over 6400RPMs

I questioned LOZIC when I ordered.

Lozic-
"6750 is stock. tcu change your gear at around 6500rpm.
If you buy tuned TCU. Shift change gear at around 6000rpm."

For those that have received tune
How long did it take after it shipped to arrive?

My tune has made it to the states. Excited to see what this does to the rwd

How is no one blowing up their engines/trannies with this? Such a huge delta in torque on stock internals freaks me out a little bit.

Here's the thing:
Anyone who thinks that adding almost 100 HP and over 100 lb-ft of torque WON'T shorten the lifespan of stressed components is delusional. BUT, so long as one is willing to take the chance, and will accept the consequences if there is a failure related to tuning, then by all means have fun!

On the other hand, OEM tuning is generally very conservative. Kia/Hyundai doesn't give the first owner 10yr/100k mile powertrain warranty AND wring every last horsepower of out the engine. Fuel economy and emissions are also huge when thinking of OEM tuning. Take those two things out of the equation and there is definitely room to make more power relatively safely.

My ECU, TCU, and AWD units should be here Monday or Tuesday. Spark plug install is tomorrow! I wanted some before and after true comparisons of performance gains...so I bought a Dragy. First thing tomorrow morning I'm going to get a few quarter mile runs...just need to drive a bit further out into the country for a flat/straight road for the speed.

Here are two 0-60 runs I did over the last two days. The first day(slow time) it was raining and warmer, hence the higher DA and slower time. I did twelve runs the first day, and every single one was between 4.81 and 4.97 sec. Very consistent!

Today was much cooler, lower humidity, a little less gas in the tank(half full for these times), and much lower DA. I only did two runs, 4.61 and 4.65 sec.

Seems I'm not able to post pictures yet, but will when I'm able.

It would be interesting to see your time with just the ECU vs the ECU, TCU and AWD.

It might not be an issue with this platform but on the BMW side with XPS transmission tune many reported that JB4 was not behaving great. Like if the car what shifting faster than what JB4 could manage, not sure if this was resolved, it has been a while since I followed this.
New to the party but saw this......

Checking out the Supra forums and the B58(3.0 BMW motor) is having issues adjusting the jb4 correctly. Lot of folks over there report that the boost delivery is very "herky-jerky" and it sounds as if the gear shifts could be related.

In any event, this tune sounds pretty promising but I too have concerns about durability of stock tranny. If I were going this route, would have already decided that warranty is out the window.....
