I heard the squeak when in park and I would quickly tap on the gas. I happen to start hearing it around 7,500 miles, although it could have started before that. Never noticed anything negative mechanically though. I just took the car into the dealership service department for that and something else (car now has 10,600 miles on it). Service rep said it has something with a washer and the wastegate, and typically happens on one of the turbos, and needs to be adjusted. Well, after waiting for over seven hours, they informed me that it actually was both, and not just one. Furthermore, they said that they did the adjustment, but normally that is something that is only covered for the first year or 12,000 miles (whichever comes first), but they did not charge me in considered it goodwill, since I owned the car for over a year already. If this is something that is Kia's policy and is not typically covered under their powertrain warranty, that is absolutely absurd. If they did end up charging me for that work, there's no way in hell that I wasn't going to get reimbursed one way or another by Kia.
