Does anyone know yet if its possible to delete or not order the Stinger GT sunroof? Since I do not use a sunroof (or moon-roof) much anyway and thinking it would save weight. I would like all the other options so I hope its not tied to another option package? These roofs with all the glass must weigh much more than a normal roof. Also could it be stiffer without the Sunroof?

Lighter for sure. Stiffer, good possibility! I'm not sure about the sunroof delete option so I'll let somebody else chime in...

I'm going to guess no, based on this Korean specs thread: https://stingerforum.org/threads/stinger-pre-order-offer-price-and-features-korea.264/

As well as this thread, with possible US options: https://stingerforum.org/threads/another-survey-price-color-features-usa.351/

According to these specs, the sunroof is common among all models. There doesn't seem to be a trim in any engine option that doesn't feature the sunroof. This is likely to keep costs low, to only offer the body with one variant. Also, seeing as Kia sells their cars based on value, including a sunroof standard with all models seems consistent with their strategy.

I suspect "no", and that the sunroof is going to be standard issue.

I saw on the Korean website CONFIGURATOR that the sunroof is an option on the GT, WIDE SUNROOF.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...
That makes me wonder. Do any high end car manufacturers use any material other than glass for sunroofs to save weight? Or is glass universal just due to its scratch resistance? They need some sort of carbon-fiber equivalent to glass so people who want to spend $$$ shaving a few pounds off their car have the option :P

Frankly when it comes to moon roofs I like the old school style where you used to just manually lift the rear so air could flow out of the cabin. Nowadays all these wind guards that pop up in the front when you fully retract them look kind of goofy. Which, come to think of it, I don't think I've seen the Stinger with the roof open, and a google image search isn't turning anything up for me. Anyone have a pic of that?

Oh nice, thanks!
