So I'm going to try and take the car in to get top paint matched trim pieces replaced to the cracking in them. I'm curious if this needed a special paint warranty or if its covered under the B2B.
Also has anyone had the chrome trim that runs along the tops of the doors replaced due to discoloration? Mine is all jacked up and looks like crap. Just looking for some other opinions because i've never had a car with a warranty before and don't know how to attack this. Thank You

The dark chrome over the doors can normally be cleaned up with a cleaner wax, or light metal polish, followed by a good wax or protectant.
If that doesn't fix it, many people have had the dealer replace the trim.

Ill definitely try that but it looks like that's where the previous owner touched the door every time. Like the finish is pretty much gone in that spot. Ill try a cleaning it first though.

Meguiars cleaner wax is a popular one... I've used the Chemical guys light metal polish (because I had it)
lots of people just wrap them gloss black, and skip the cleaning

ill hit it with some sprayaway glass cleaner and whatever wax, detailer, stuff I have in the garage. I honestly don't even know what all I have in there any more lol.

It removes the dark chrome finnish, get it replaced under warranty. Haggle and show them the forums for proof they get replaced and it's premature wear. If they ask what you use to wash your car state water only.

Afterwords get them sealed.

I have done the megiuers red polish bottle it removes the ugly looks, but dulls the appearance. Another member posted pics of it.

Edit: I had all the chrome on my car swapped. Front bumper, vents, etc

I had my chrome and drip rails replaced under warranty. Dealer didn't give me any hassle about it. The drip rails though don't come painted so your dealer will have to send them out.

What are the drip rails exactly? Good to hear they didn't hassle you.

On each side of the car, back half of the roof there are 2 slim/ narrow panels. Above the passenger doors on top. I’m not sure exactly what they do, prevent water from coming in or what.

Yup, keep water, snow, etc from rolling off the roof and on your head, and the interior when you get in and out

OHHHHHH I didn't know that's what they were called. Those are the "paint matched trim pieces" that I'm getting replaced lol
