Hello all, new to the forum as my wife is considering buying a Stinger. We are looking at a 2019 2.0 Premium that is for sale on Carvana in Blue. The pictures were just posted and now we have 48 hours to decide if we want to complete the purchase (got lucky and was the first one to "reserve" the car when it was posted on Saturday). I was somewhat surprised to see "E" logo on the front and the rims, but have found through this forum that this is a mod that some do. Not sure I would have debadged it myself, but it doesn't look bad. There are 3 minor "flaws" as noted by Carvana but nothing that concerns me since it is used and it does have over 17K miles on it. Looks like it has new tires, which is a bit disconcerting since it has less than 18K miles. Never purchased from Carvana before, so it has me a little worried. If you have any experience or guidance you can offer on getting a car from Carvana or any feedback on the car itself, let me know. You can see it on Carvana (Vehicle ID 1671828)

We were specifically looking for the 2.0 Premium as I don't want the bigger engine, but wanted all the features. As mentioned it will be my wife's car and she is coming from a SUV so the 2.0 will have plenty of power for her. We live in MN, so AWD was a must. I drive a MB C300 4-Matic so guessing the Stinger will have similar performance.

Welcome to the hive! E badges are a very common modification, and suggest that the previous owner was probably an enthusiast, so the new (ish) tires could mean anything from they upgraded to 19" wheels and tires, and took them off before selling and you are getting the "factory " set up. Or they burned through a set of tires and had to replace them to sell it.
I have zero experience with carvana so can't help you there

Howdy. Sounds like a good car, and a lot more fun than some boring SUV. By 18K miles the tires would be wearing noticeably, even with a 2.0L, if the previous owner drove it like s/he stole it: which the Stinger encourages you to do. :D

We have a 2018 2.0 with around 16,000 miles in that Blue color. The tires still look new. As far as the car goes, we absolutely love it. It is the wife’s car, she dropped the sportage after we paid it off to go to the Stinger, major seat upgrade along with everything else. No regrets...

keep us posted, good luck with the purchase.

I've had two coworkers and a neighbor purchase through carvana and they all had good experiences so there is that.

From interior to exterior to high performance - everything you need for your Stinger awaits you...

I would avoid Carvana completely.
More often than not, you're paying more than you need to.
I would compare what you can get a new 2021 GT-Line. If you skip the sun and sound package you can usually get them for the upper 20's to low 30's

I looked at the programs on the new AWD GT line.

Anything with a $36,500 MSRP on a 2 year lease will lease at about $28,500.
So you can literally get a brand new one with Full factory warranty for $4,000 more than a used 2 year old car.

Keep in mind, 2nd owner of a Kia doesn't get the full 10/100 warranty. Only 5/60 transfers.

Then, in two years time you have an $18,000 buyout option on the new one if you lease.

I'd go this route. Call or text me at 970-889-9835 if you want to pick my brain. I'm an auto broker and do this daily...
